IT MAKES YOU WONDER ABOUT THE PYRAMIDS when you
consider that two cranes, capable of lifting over 200 tons apiece,
had to be called into action when the base was put into position
for the new Tuckersmith Township bridge on Concession 4 last
week. Five cement cross -beams, 100 feet long and weighing in at
76,000 lbs. apiece, were delivered to the site and hefted into
place. The whole operation took less than two and a half hours,
and plenty of area resident turned out to cheer the cranes on.
