died, at- the „residence of his cousin,
Mrs. Elizabeth Hill- of. Wellingten

many •years. Ile was a native. of

record the . death of another or Stan-
ley's pioneers in the person of Mr.
Neil McGill, who died at the home '
of Mr. Geo, McNair of the 2nd con, .
of Stanley, on the morning Of the
21st of March. Mr. McGill was a
native of Argyle; Scotland, and -caMe
to Canada -with his parents, settling
near Hamilton.. Afterwardsthe fam-
ily moved to • Stanley over fifty years
ago; having endured the hardships of
those early days with the other pion-
eers of Huron, . who are so quickly
passing alrig to the Great Majority..
Mr. McGill was Over 77 • years of age
and was never married. He lived on
the old homestead; With his mother
until she died -several years ago. He
then lived on alone until about •threa
years ago when tiring of his lone*
