Centenaires win
one germ and tie
on weekend
An offensively strong third period was the
proverbial straw to break the horse's neck
Sunday when Seaforth took on Mount
Brydges in Junior D hockey action.
The Centenaires scored four goals in the
final stanza to undermine th.ir opponents
6-5.
Jerry Wright and Mike Betties led the
scoring for the Centenaires with Wright
capturing the first goal of the game early in
the first period and a second in the third
period. Betties, assisted by W right and Mike
Schoonderwoerd, scored in the second period
then, assisted again by Wright, tapped in the
game winner with only 'seconds left in the
game
Other goals came from Bill Dale and Matt
W ickinson. Assists in the game went to Tim
Can.pbell, with two, Darren Akey, Gerard
Ryan, Brad Beuttenmiller and Betties.
On Friday night the Centenaires finished in
a 5-5 tie with the Lucan Irish.
Matt Wickinson led the scoring for the
Juniors in that match up, tallying two goals.
Ryan, Wright and Schoonderwoerd each got
singles. Assists went to Dale with two,
Campbell with two, and Bettles and, Spence
Rowland and Steve Schroeder, each with one.
The Centenaires play their next home
game against Thamesford Sunday at 2 p.m.

Peewees split games last week
The next game was played November 8 at
home against Mitchell. The score was 5-4 for
Mitchell. Jason McNichol and Kevin Mc-
Uwain each had one goal and one assist, Paul
Dolmage and Sean Melady scored one goal
each and Ted Sills got three assists.
This past week the Seaforth Pee W ees had
a win and a lie. On November 11, the team
travelled to Milverton and won 8-3.
Scoring for Seaforth were Steve Papple
with three goals, Ted Sills with two goals and
one assist, and Mark Smale, Sean Melady
and Brad Schroeder with one goal each.
Kevin McUwain and Jasen Muir got two
assists. Brent van den Akker and Paul
Dolmage each assisted on one goal.
The Pee W ees were at home to Clinton on
Saturday, November 15 and tied 3-3. Sean
Melady, Mark Smale and Kevin Mcllwain
got one goal and one assist each. Other
assists went to Ted Sills, with two, and Jasen
Muir with one.
The Seaforth Pee W ees played two games
last week and came up with a win and a loss.
On November 6 the Pee W ees played in
Clinton and won 5-4, Goals were scored by
Jason McNichol and Paul Dolmage with one
goal each, Kevin McUwain with two goals
and Brent van den Akker with one goal and
one assist. Jason Beuttenmiller, Steve
Papple, Mark Smale and Ted Sills each had
one assist
Jr. Belles win home game 15-2
On Sunday the Seaforth Jr. Belles ringette
team won their home game against Goderich.
Amy van den Akkeropened the scoring just
15 seconds into the game while Jane
Rowcliffe assisted. Amy added six more goals
throughout the game. Other goals were
scored by Tammy Nash with three, Jackie
McNichol with one and Jane Rowcliffe with
four goals
The goals were assisted by Sheri Kling,
Heather McKercher, Jackie McNichol, Tam-
my Nash. Jane Rowcliffe.
Goderich scored twice, one late in the first
period and one at the halfway mark of the
second period. Seaforth won 15-2. The
Seaforth Jr. Belles have also defeated Exeter
and St. Marys.
Seaforth Novice travelling team met

Exeter on home ice on Saturday. Seaforth
showed great effort 'and enthusiasm but
couldn't quite hold off Exeter who won by a
score of 5-3. However this score is much
improved over their first Toss to Exeter of 7-0.
