Skating Club girls travelled to Parkhill for a
day long seminar. Debbie Lawrence, 'Asa
Faber. Karen McCullough and Amy Camp-.
hell passed the test, receiving their Canskate
Coaches Certificate. Teresa Haugh success-
fully passed the Assistant Coach's Certificate
The club is proud of these girls who
willingly gave up their Sunday but brought
home their badges as proof of certification..
QIJK'K COOKING
Drysdale's Appliances Ltd. held a success-
ful Mi&owave Cooking School on Tuesday,
t idlober 28 sponsored by Hotpoint. Due to the
excellent turnout another will be held on
Friday, December 5 from 7 to 9 p.m., this
time sponsored by Inglis. For more informa-
tion call Jack or Bob at the store.

W' alk merchants was an overwhelm-
ing success with 80 children entering•in four
categories.
First prize received a t -shirt from Signs 'n
Shirts with second and third receiving cash
prizes. W inners were: in the 3-5 yr. old class,
1st Lindsey Campbell, 2nd Michelle Zwart,
3rd, Jamie Reaburn. 6-8 yr. olds, 1st 'Brad
Hartman. 2nd Melissa Masse, 3rd Ryan
Munn. 9-12 yr. olds, 1st Blair Moir, 2nd Tara
Itunking, 3rd, Victoria Bisback.
A special prize went to the youngest
entrant Amber Prezcator, five months old.
A special thank you from the Village Walk
to all of the children who made the contest,
such a success. Kids — you can pick up your
pictures al Signs 'n Shirts during November•
and receive a Drat.
BIBLE QUIZ
The November rally of South Huron Youth
for Christ was held November 1 at Huron
Centennial School, BruL''efield, There was a
good attendance. Director Ron Westlake was
in charge and opened the rally with several
choruses and prayer. Sharon Parker was at
the piano.
As this was the beginning of the Bible
Quiz. there were three teams participating.
They all introduced themselves and told
where they were from Clinton, Goderich or
Exeter. They quizzed on 1 John Chapter 1 and
mei (11 Chapter 2. This was a very exciting
quiz as all 3 teams scored

Ron made the announcements. Guest
speaker at the December 6 rally will be Rev.
Wes Aarum from Delawan, New York, He is
the director of Circle C Ranch. He will show a
Milton the camp and its activities. The winter
retreat at Delawan will be The January Rally to be Talent Night.i1315.

W es Heywood is ill in St. Joseph's Hospital
and all his friends at Northcrest wish him a
speedy recovery.
Mr. and Mrs. Doug Kyle and Mrs, 011ie
Cooper spent the last weekend of October in
Kitchener visiting with Mr. and Mrs, Don
Kyle and sons.
Rally Vanstone is a patient in hospital in
lnndon and is recovering well. We all"wish
him a speedy recovery .and hope to see him
return home soon.
Just a reminder that the banks and post
office along with Hensall Library will be
closed on Tuesday, November 11 although all
schools will remain open.

The cool weather has not hampered the
warm spirits at Queensway Nursing Home in
Ilensall. Residents had a terrific week of
act ivit ies.
On Monday afternoon the weekly Bingo
game was held. The ladies from the United
Church (Unit 1 t came in to run the Bingo and
everyone hada terrific time.
The following afternoon, Reverend Robert
Matheson came in to do the Tuesday church

enjoyed ver much by all who attended.
Wednesday was a very special day at
Queensu ay, d was Hat Day. The Health Care
Aids from Conestoga College put on the

'I'hc movie of the week on 'Thursday
evening was "Fiddles and Whimmy Did-
dles." 11 was a good movie with lots of
beautiful s,lenery and the whittling of old toys
that used to be made long ago.
Ilailoween hiday was a .,uper, dandy and
•'scarey" day. In the afternoon residents had
a Halloween Party and all dressed up. had a
costume contest. played several games and
enjoyed very tasteful refresiiment, Every-
one looked super dressed up and it was great
to see the enthusiastic participation. Queens-
way would also like to thank Sally Gilmour for
coming in to help carve out the official
Queensway pumpkin.
