JUNIOR VOLUNTEERS HONORED — This group of teenagers are
junior volunteers at Seaforth Community Hospital: They were
honored Tuesday night by the members of the Hospital Auxiliary
who presented them with awards for the many hours they have
volunteered their services to the patients. The hours served will
indicate the length of time they have been volunteers, ranging from
a new comer with 20 hours to 445 hours for a' longtime member.

James Kelley has returned home after six
months on a 22,000 mile trip, where he visited
friends in Florida, Cayman Islands, Brazil,
Argentina and Mexico.
Mary McIver attended Mass in Hessan on
Mother's Day when her great granddaughter
Meghan Murtha received her first Holy
Communion.
The winners of the Edelweiss Rebekah
Lodge Dessert Euchre held May 14 are:
ladies high, Margaret Beuerman; ladies low,
Annie McNichol; ladies lone hands, Thelma
Dale; men's high, Grace Broadfoot; men's
low, Harvey Dolmage; men's lone hands, Bill
Kelley. First prize, quilt, Elsie Keyes.
Second prize, quilted pillow, Leo Hagan.
The Boy Scouts draw winner of a 10 -speed
bicycle donated by Canadian Tire was Hilda
Austin, Seaforth.

arrival of Nicolaus Andrew, 9 lbs. 1 oz. on
May 6, 1986. He is the second grandchild of
Mrs. Lois Dow, of Don Mills and the third
grandchild of Bruce and Pearl Johnston of
Seaforth.

4-H NEWS
The 4-H Machinery Club meeting was held
at Vincent Farm Equipment and one of the
leaders, Peter Vandeborne spoke on the
different kinds of planters and drills.
Members were given parts of a planter and
seed drill and had to put them in their proper
places on the implement. They were taught
how to take good care of a drill and planter.
The next meeting will take place at Haugh
Farm Equipment in Brucefield.

Annual on May 15. at Grand Bend.

MARGARET (STRONG) POTTER
Margaret (Strong) Potter died Monday,
May 12, 1986.
She is survived by her husband and two
sisters, Irene Bahnsen, Landon and Jean
Knight, Toronto.
Also surviving are several nieces and
nephews.
She was predeceased by her parents, Mr.
and Mrs. Robert Strong; one sister Pearl and
one brother John. '
RUSSELLPIPER
Russell Piper, of Seaforth, died Saturday,
May 17, at Stratford General Hospital in his
86th year.
Mr. Piper was predeceased by his parents,
the late William and Rhoda Piper, two
sisters, Violet and Olive and one brother
John. Ile is survived byone niece, Mrs. Ethel
Oliver, of Hamilton.

Ribey Funerai Home, Seaforth, from 2 p.m.
on May 19, until 2 p.m., May 20, when
funeral services were held.
Interment in Maitlandbank Cemetery,
Seaforth.
Pallbearers were Roy McGonigle, George

Harvey Doltnage and Jim Kelly.
