Presbyterian Church Women's Missionary.
Society was held on Thursday at 8 p.m. The
guest speaker was Pat Horner, who nursed in
Fort Resolution, North West Territories from
1972 to 1983.
LOUISE NOLAN, daughter of Joe and Helen
Nolan graduated from the Diploma Nursing
Program at Conestoga College, Stratford
Campus on November 30, 1985 and success-
fully completed her Ontario Registration
Exams. She was given an Award for
Proficiency in bedside nursing. Louise is a
graduate of Seaforth District High School and
is currently employed at Stratford General
Hospital.
I PEOPLE
Mrs. Jack Thompson was presented with
an Honorary membership certificate in the
W .M.S. in recognition of her years of faithful
service and dedication. Mrs. Jas. Stewart and
Ruth Cluff favored the ladies with a duet,
accompanied at the piano by Carol Carter.
Twelve -year-old Carol Ann McQuaid was
presented with a $100 scholarship in violin.
The scholarship was an award of the London
Music Festival and was presented at a noon
luncheon Friday at the Lamplighter Inn in
London. Mrs. McQuaid (Carol Ann's mother)
and Mrs. Lofbt (her music teacher) were
present at the luncheon.
A former Seaforth girl has done well for
herself combining business, practicality and
fashion.
Betty Malone (nee Kirkby) lives in
Windsor now. She is the owner of a shop
which caters to mothers -to -be and is suitably
named Great Expectations.
Her shop gives pregnant women the
chance to buy comfortable and attractive
clothing.
