4-H NEWS
Safety was the topic at the April 15 meeting
of the 4-H Farm Machinery Club. It met at
Hyde Brothers in Hensall.
The guest speaker was Terry Caldwell. He
showed a film called "Tractor Safety is no
Accident." This showed us how to be safe on
the road, the field, as well as with
implements. Farmers are advised to wear
earplugs, when driving an implement, as this
cuts down on the high pitch sounds on one's
eardrum.
The instructor told members mainly, just
to "think" first before doing something
dangerous.
There were 38 members present. The next
meeting will be held at Vincent Farm
Equipment at 7:30 p.m. May 12.
