Bowling event a success
BY GORDON SCOTT, P110
The Seaforth Legion Invitational Bowling
tournament was held Saturday afternoon
with 25 teams participating from as far away
as Toronto, Fergus and Hanover. The top
bowling team for the day was from Seaforth
with Jackand Marg Ungarian, Ron and Mary
Beuerman and Ken Pierce and Rose Easton.
Congratulations.
Special thanks to Don 'Eaton and his
committee for their tireless effort in hunting
prizes and all the other specifics that keep
popping up in organizing something like this,
To Ron Williamson and his staff of caterers
thanks for the long day spent in the kitchen
barbecuing and preparing the meal for the
150 or so who had to be fed. The committee
would also like to thank those who donated
. sandwiches for the lunch at noon. The day
was a big success.
The last stag euchre of the season will be
held Wednesday night at 8 p.m. Next
Monday night there will be another mixed
cribbage night at 8 p.m. for members. If you
like playing cards don't forget to come down.
You will enjoy yourself.
There are still quite a few membership
cards that have not been picked up. If yours is
one of them please drop by and ask Frank or
whoever is working for your card.
The Branch was saddened last week to hear
of the death of Comrade Michael (Mickey)
