Audrey Hackwell and Dorothy Sholdice led
the devotion when Walton 1 unit met last
week.
The topic on Easter was given by Dorothy
Sholdice who told how the different countries
in the world celebrated Easter. Marie Coutts
conducted the business assisted by Audrey
Hackwell reading minutes.
In the announcements the coming events
were Sunday, March 23, 8:30 a.m. - 9:30 a.m.
Pancake Breakfast at Walton, Church service
to follow at 10 a.m. and Sacrament of Holy
Communion with Rev. Cheryl -Ann Stadel-
bauer-Sampa, the minister at both churches.
On March 26 - Community Holy W eek
Service will be held in Brussels Arena. Good
Friday, March 28 service at 11 a.m. at
Bluevale United Church. Easter Sunday,
March 30, 9 a.m. Breakfast at Bluevale
followed by church service at 11 a.m. Walton
service has been changed for that morning
or.ly till 11:30 a.m.
It was voted to have a bakeless bazaar with
envelopes to come in at the April meeting.
Refreshments were provided by Alice Searle,
Maxine Marks and Elva Bolger during a
social time.
WALTON 2 UNIT
Members of Walton 2 unit met at the home
of Dianne McCallum, Wednesday evening
for their March meeting.
Pearl McCallum and Helen Williamson
were in charge of the worship on Easter.
The topic followed on the Easter theme
with Mrs. McCallum giving a reading.
Karen Hoegy chaired the business and
opened with a poem. Margaret Craig read the
minutes.
Announcements of coming events to
remember included the Unified board meet-
ing at the manse on March 6. Invitations from
Egmondville United Church to attend their
Thankoffering March 7 at 7:30 p.m.,
Northside United, Seaforth, Thankoffering
March 24 at8 p.m. Bonnie Lamble ordination
will take place in Harriston at the community
complex at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday, May 28.

EUCHRE HELD
There were nine tables of euchre in play at
the hall on Tuesday evening. Prize winners
were high lady, Alberta Stevens; low,
Blanche Hoegy; high man, Jim Smith; low,
John Simpson. Most lone hands, Rena Watt.
Special prizes: Dorothy Daer and Jane De
Vries.
Institute hostesses were Leona McDonald
and Marjory Humphries.
4-H CLUB
Table manners and banquets were discuss-
ed at recent meetings of the Walton 4-H dub,
the Happy Hostesses.
Members learned about eating out.
Travelling, what to pack in a suitcase and
what would be suitable to take along when
travelling was also a topic of discussion.
45TH ANNIVERSARY
A family gathering was held at the home of
Ben and Arlene vanden Akker of Seaforth on
March 15, the occasion being the latter
parents, Mr. and Mrs. Jim W illiamson, RR 3,
W Alton 45th wedding anniversary. Congrat-
ulations is extended from friends and
neighbors in the community.
