Geraldine (Geri) McFadden, of R.R. 3
Tupperville died Thursday, January 23, 1986
at Chatham General Hospital. She was 55.
Mia; McFadden, the former Geraldine
Eckert, was born in Oakville, had spent her
earlier years in Seaforth and had resided in
the Tupperville area for the past 31 years. She
was a member of Holy Family Church,
r
Wallaceburg and a member of the Catholic
Womens League. Mrs. McFadden had
taught for the Kent County Board of
Education as a physical education instructor
for the past 37 years and was a vice principal
at Chatham Kent Secondary School, retirng
in 1984. In 1985 she had been an advisor for
the Kent County Board and the Kent County
Separate School Board on affirmative action
policies.
Surviving are her husband, Harold McFad-
den ;

den; her mother, Geraldine (Eckert) Charters
of Seaforth, five sisters, Anne, (Mrs. Peter
Mahu) of Wallaceburg, Dorothy, (Mrs. Don
Hall) of Fort Erie, Frances Ryan of Alvinston,
Julia Eckert MacLean of Sudbury and
Rosemary,' (Mrs, Randolph Rhodes) of
Hamilton; two brothers, Con Eckert of
Mississauga and Bill Eckert of St. Marys.
She was predeceased by two brothers,
Joseph Stephen and Stephen Joseph.
Geraldine McFadden rested at the Eric F.
Nicholls Funeral Home, 839 Elgin Street,
Wallaceburg until January 27 when the
funeral proceeded to Holy Family Church,
Wallceburg for a funeral mass. Father
W ilfred Bourque officiated.
Pallbearers were: Frank Van Segbroeck,
Joseph Rich, Gorden Legue, Steve Kay,
Harry Vandenberghe and Malcolm Mac-
Phail. Honorary pallbearers were: Bill Green,
Paul Seagrave, Ewan Wilson, Clare Maltby,
Doug Thompson, Jack Glendinning, Ray
Martin and Dennis Wilkie. Flower bearers
were Elsie Segbroeck, Eliza Roels, Mary
Vermette, Marjorie Dupon, LeQna Van
l(aecke and Carol Haggerty. '
LOBITUARIES
Interment was made in Dresden Cemetery.
The Catholic Women's League of Holy
Family Parish offered prayers January 26.
WALLACE WARD KNOX
Wallace Ward Knox of Clinton, died in
University Hospital, London, on February 5,
1986, He was 77-yea,s-old.
Mr. Knox was born on December 4, 1908 to
George and Jane (Jenny McGregor) Knox.
On December 11, 1937 he marded W innifred
R. Nott at the United Church Manse in
Egmondvilte. Following their marriage, the
Knoxs fanned on the home farm in Hullett
Township until 1963 when they .sold it and
moved to Clinton.
After leaving the farm, Mr. Knox became a
salesman for Gingerich Electric, then he ran
the Clinton Bowling Alley. After selling the
bowling alley, he became a salesman with
Huron Tractor in Exeter and remained with
them until his retirement.
Mr. Knox was a member of Ontario Street
United Church, Clinton, and a member of
Constance Court No. 157 ,of International
Foresters.
Mr. Knox is survived by his wife, one
daughter, Mrs. Ross (Shirley) Carter of
Clinton, and one son, Ronald of Thorold. He
is also survived by three grandsons, Gregory,
Sheehan and Daniel Carter.
Mr. Knox is survived by two sisters, Mrs.
Lorne (Mary) Marshall of Toronto and Mrs,
Graydon (Olive) Neal of Clinton.
He is predeceased by one sister, Mrs.
Evelyn Appleby, and one brother, Ernest
Knox.
•A memorial service was held at Ball and
Falconer Funeral•Home on February.7 by
Constance Court No. 157 of the Canadian
Foresters. Funeral services were held on
February 8 at Ball and Falconer Funeral

Flower bearers were Fred Deichert, Frank
McCowan and Melvin Webster, all of
Clinton, Pallbearers were Jack McEwing,
Watson Reid, both of RR I, Blyth, William
Leiper of RR 1, Londesboro, Leslie Reid of
Londesboro, Ari Colson and Clayton Groves,
both of Clinton.
Interment was held in the Clinton Ceme-
tery.
MARY FAULKNER
Mary Faulkner, formerly of Seaforth, died
Wednesday. February 5, 1986 at the Joseph
Brant Hospital in Burlington.
Born. raised and marred in Seaforth Mrs.
Faulkner was a one-time employee of the
Seaforth Post Office.
She is survived by a daughter Patricia and
her husband, Robert Duxbury of Burlington,
and two grandchildren, Laura and Paul.
Also surviving are two sisters, Mrs.
W illiam (Margaret) Cullen and Mrs. Charles
(Helen) Worsen, both of Kitchener.
She was predeceased by her husband
Robert Duxbury, daughter Madelaine Anne
and a brother, Leonard.
The family received friends at Coutt's
Funeral Home in Cambridge. A funeral
service was held at St. Patrick's Church in
Cambridge and interment was in St. James
Cemetery, Seaforth.
CLIFFORD ALEXANDER BROADFOOT
Clifford Alexander Broadfoot, of Seaforth;
•died Monday, February 17, 1986 at Seaforth
Community Hospital. He was 77.
A son of the late Alexander Broadfoot and
Alberta Wilson, Mr. Broadfoot was a past
master of the Britannia Lodge 170 and a
former Texaco Fuel distributor.
He is survived by his wife, the former
Violet Tyndall, and son Neil and his wife
Margaret of Peterborough.
Also surviving is one sister Mrs. Dr.
(Greta) Parr of Corunna.
He was predeceased by one brother
Wilson.
Friends will be received at the Whitney-
Ribey Funeral Home, 87 Goderich Street
West, Seaforth until 2 p.m. today (Wednes-
day) when funeral services will be held.
Spring interment Egmondville Cemetery.
.IAM FS EDW ARD CLEARY
James Edward. Cleary died Sunday,
Febfuary 9, 1986 at Shaughnessey General
Hospital in Vancouver, British Columbia. He
was 62.
A son of the late William, and Minnie
Cleary of Seaforth, Mr. Cleary is survived by
his wife Justine Cleary of Vancouver.
Also surviving are brothers Patrick,
W illiam and John Cleary, all of London.
A funeral mass was held at St. Patrick's
Church in Vancouver. interment was in
Forest Lawn Cemetery, also in Vancouver.

The Women's Missionary Sodety held
their meeting on Monday, February 10 In
Knox Presbyterian Church Belgrave.
Ivy Cioakey presided and opened with the
Call to Worship followed by scripture by Mrs.
Gamer Nicholson.
Agnes Youngblut read the meditation on
the day's theme "Love." Mrs. Mac Scott led
in prayer and a hymn was sung.
Reports were given by the secretary and
treasurer and 28 sick and shut-in visits were
recorded.
Margaret Dunbar gave a reading on Dr.
George Matheson who, though blinded at an
early age. became a renowned preadrer and
wrote the hymn "O Love that will not let nie

Mrs. William Dalrymple read a poem.
Mrs Cloakey closed the meeting with
