Residents valentine recipients
Seaforth Health Care Facility were the
recipients of Valentines made by the Sunday
School students of St. Thomas Anglican'
Church.
Also during, the week Pat Ryan was the
winner in Monday's bowling; public school
volunteers came and helped residents with
bowling on Tuesday and the winner was Lucy
Bezzo, Rev, Simmons came Wednesday for
worship service and social hour. Residents
had a game of euchre Thursday with Alfie
Sykes with 49 points the winner and James
Nolan the consolation winner. Bingo was
played .Friday with Bob McClure, Alfie
Sykes, Carol Geddes, Bill Connolly, Elmer
Bakscy, Penny Cozo winners.

granddaughter Laverne Nigh for the day

The Ladies Aid of Seutorth's First
Presbyterian Church spent a recent afternoon
working on a quilt in the Centennial Room.
President Viola Lawson called the ladies
together and a short business meeting was
held before the quilting got underway.
Mention was made of a newsletter which is
being put together to go into the newsletter
currently sent out monthly by the church, A
thank you letter was received from Belle
Campbell. Mary McClure was placed in
charge of the March meeting. Marie Barber
will speak at that time on Arts and Culture.

OBITUARIES
WENDY JOHANNA VEILBERNE
Wendy Johanna Verberne, aged 38 days,
died Friday, February 7, 1986 at St. Joseph's
Hospital in London.
She is survived by her parents Frank and
Mary Ann Verberne, of Dublin and brothers
Chris and Barry
Also surviving are her grandparents Mr.
and Mrs. Joe Verberne and Mr, and Mrs.
Theo Van Bakel,
A private family mass was held at St.
Patrick's Roman Catholic Church in Dublin
on Tuesday, February 11. Whitney-Ribey
Funeral Home in Seaforth was in charge of
the funeral arrangements.
DONALD MITCHELL
Donald Mitchell, formerly of Slabtown,
died Sunday, , February 9, 1986 at the
Riverside Hospital in Toronto. He was 104.
He was the son of the late Mr, and Mrs.
William Mitchell and brother of the late Alex
Mitchell and the late Ellie McTaggart.
A funeral service will be held today at 10:30
a,m, at the Whitney-Ribey Funeral Home in
Seaforth. Interment Maitlandbank Ceme-
tery.

PERCY ALEXANDER FERGUSON
The Reverend Percy Alexander Ferguson,
of Chesley and formerly of Hensel] died
Monday, February 3, 1986. He was 78.
Reverend Ferguson was the Presbyterian
Minister in Hensall in 1945. He is survived by
his wife Jo, daughter Judith and sons, Rod,
Trevor and Jamie, Also surviving are several
grandchildren.
A memorial service was held in St.
Andrews Presbyterian Church in Owen
Sound on Tuesday, February 11.

Happy Citizens enjoy
euchre and social
The Seaforth Happy Citizens held their
meeting on February 6 in the Legion Hall with
54 present.
After a business period the afternoon was
spent playing euchre. Prizes Went to Greta
Kerr, Mrs. Elgie, Mary Chapple, Lloyd Pipe,
Marjorie Maloney and Kathleen Cuthill.
Everyone then enjoyed a social hour with
sandwiches and tea,
