School choir entertains at Duff's

The Walton Public School Choir sang an
anthem Sunday morning at Duff's United
Church,
Bonnie Lamble took the service and Elva
Wilbee greeted worshippers and Margery
liuether was organist. The ushers were Brian
W ilbee, Ray Huether and Paul McCallum.
Taking part in the service was Gary
Godkin, who read the scripture, and Donna
Godkin, who feported on her experience at
Toc Alpha.
CELEBRATES BIRTHDAYS
The oldest resident of the Village, Nelson
Reid, will celebrate his 90th birthday on
February 16. Congratulations from all your
friends.

Larry and Marsha Nevers, Pearl and
Harold McCallum, Paul and Dianne McCal-
lum of RR 4, and RR 1, Walton, who have
been snowmobiling in the Huntsville area,
have returned to their homes. They claim the
trails were excellent and the only mishap was
when Dianne played Evil Kenevil. The only
thing hurt was her pride and a cracked
windshield.
Pearl and Harold McCallum of RR 1,
Walton visited with Joyce and Wayne
Hartman at Bayfield on Sunday.
Geraldine and Lorne Dale of RR Clinton
visited with Helen Byers.

Ten tables were in play at the Knights of
Columbus weekly euchre in the Knights of
Columbus hall in St, Columban Friday
evening.
The winners for the high prizes were
Mamie Delaney and Jim Henderson. The low
prize winners were Martha Murray and Tony
Van Bakel, and for the most lone hands, Tom
Sloan.
It was good to see so many out in spite of
the blustery weather all day.
The next game will be Friday, February 14
at 8 p. m. in the Knights of Columbus Hall, St.
Columban.
