The residents of Callander Nursing Home
enjoyed Donald Dunbar at the piano Sunday
afternoon and later singers from the Ethel
and Zion Mennonite churches,
Bingo was played Monday with Bill Close
holding the monthly trophy. Three bingos
were won by Stella W inn, Cards wore enjoyed
on Tuesday. Valentines Day decorations were
put up on Wednesday.
Anne Smith entertained at the piano Friday
morning and Karen Cardiff and Jeannette
Boynton led the discussion group in the
afternoon. Many of the residents wore eating
licorice pipes during the discussion.
Lottie McCutcheon was taken out to ,1• R.'s
for lunch by her granddaughter, Judy Hahn.
Dorothy Higgins had the following visitors
on Thursday evening, Mr, and Mrs. Carman
Farrier, W (nnifred Farrier, Mrs. Joel Hawley
and baby Kendra of Long Branch. They along
with Dorothy visited at the home of Mr. and
MIs, Tom Pletch.
.CHURCH NEWS
The Brussels Mennonites held their
monthly service. Friday evening Rev, Zehr
conducted the sermon About "Encourage-
ment." The program consisted of Michelle
Freeman doing a reading, two duets by
Nancy Hynononi and Ann Hemingway and
Alex McLeod reading the scripture. Friday
evening Dorothy Higgins' great niece Leri
Cronin visited with her. Jack Hamilton Is
home from W Ingham Hospital. Eva Stewart
is still in University Hospital but she is doing
well and It is hoped she will soon be back to
Callander,

men's Institute hosted another euchre party,
Due to icy conditions the attendance was
down. 'There wore eight tables at play. The
following were winners of prizes. Travelling
Ione hand, Eluned McNair, ladles high,
Rectum' Riol, men's high, Albert (lutpp, most
zeros, Sarah Stephenson. Many other prizes
were also given out.

Mrs. Rick Nay and daughter Sarah of
Goose Bay Labrador and Mr. and Mrs, Bill
Nay of Gerrie, were visitors on Sunday with
Peggy Cudmoro of Brussels.
Mr. and Mrs. Gerald Exel had a number of
their family members home on Friday,
February 8 to help them celebrate Mrs,
Exel's 75th birthday.
Approximately 25 4-H leaders gathered at
St. Andrew's Presbyterian Church In W frig -
ham on Friday for the club Etiquette in the
'OOs. Anyone 12 -years -old before January 1
and who would like to join the club can contact
ono of the leaders.
