THE INDUSTRIAL GROWTH FUND RRSP
The Seaforth Novice hockey team were
able to record one win and a tie during this
week's hockey action.
On Friday the team travelled to Clinton
where they blasted their opponents 11-0.
Leading the Seaforth scoring effort were
Patrick Cook and Mike Watt, each with three
goals. Joe Murray and Mike Devereaux
counted for two each and Boyd Devereaux
added the other Seaforth marker. Assists

Earlier in the week the Novice travelled to
Stratford, where they tahgled with the AAA
team.
Stratford scored first in that game, scoring
at the 9:07 mark of the first period, then
widened the gap even further at 7:24
Seaforth's Mike Watt scored the team's
first goal with Tess than two minutes left in the
second period, then tied things up at the 5:37
mark of the third period. Mike Devereaux,
assisted by Wayne Schoonderwoerd put
Seaforth ahead at 4:32 of the third period but
Stratford tied things up three minutes later.
Dean Finnigan played a strong game in net
for Seaforth, stopping numerous point blank
shots.
Atom tourney wrapped -up on Sunday
The OPTIMIST ATOM HOCKEY TOUR-
NAMENT wrapped up on Sunday, January
26 with six final games. in the "C"
Consolation final , Hensall defeated Byron
Minor 5-3 ; the "C" Championship saw Lucan
edge Elma Logan 1 shot to 0 in overtime; it
was Lambeth 13 and Brantford Minor 0 in the
"B" Consolation; the "B" Championship
Clinton squeaked by Walkerton 3 shots to 1 in
overtime; Goderich beat Byron Major 3-1 in
the `,Vi" Consolation and in the "A"
Championship Thorold defeated Forest 5-3.
• Congratulations to all teams for showing
the fans some good exciting hockey.
GYMNASTICS is all ready to start
Saturday at the high school. Instruction for
those aged 3 to 7 years will be given from 10 to
11 a.m. and for those aged 8 to 16 from 11 to
noon. Please be on time and dressed
appropriately. Proper uniform consists of
shorts or a jogging suit or a body suit and
running shoes.
The next PUBLIC SKATING will be on
Saturday, from 1:30 to 3 p.m. There will be no
skating on Sunday due to the Centenaires
game.
The CENTENAIRES will be at home three
days this weekend, starting on Friday night
against Mitchell at 8:30 p.m. Then on
Saturday night they have a make up game
against Howick at 9.m. To wrap up the
weekend they face off against Brussels on
Sunday afternoon at 2 p.m. The Centenaires
are playing a good brand of hockey and these
three games could give them the division
championship. Come out and support the
boys.
On Tuesday, February 11 the St. Thomas
Anglican Church are inviting you to their
PANCAKE LUNCH AND SUPPER. Nice,
juicy pancakes, with lots of syrup are

The Seaforth Recreation Department will
be having a MARCH BREAK PROGRAM
again this year from March 10 to March 14.
This program is designed to give children five
exciting days during the mid -winter break.
Petites down Huron Park 10-4
Activities offered include bowling, swim-
ming. skating mix and (rafts. films. sports
and games. This year there will be a
pay -as -you -play set up. Children may bring
their lunch if they wish to stay during the
lunch hour. There will be supervision. Please

The Seaforth Petites Ringette team put on
a strong offensive showing against Huron
Park Saturday.
Huron Park had lots of shots on net but only
managed to score four times on goalie Jill
Wood.
Seaforth won 10-4 with goals going to Jill
Betties, four; Jennifer Marion, three and two
assists; Janice Rodney, two and Kelly Rau,
one goal and one assist.
Goals for Huron Park were scored by
Charmaine Pritchard, two and Michelle
Bowerman, two.
The Petites play their next home game
Saturday at the Seaforth Arena at 12:30 noon.
