Pat Ryan emerged the winner Monday as
residents went bowling and on Tuesday
students of Seaforth Public School helped
residents with wheelchair bowling and bean
bag toss. W inners were Margurite Shill and

Rev. Archie Robertson held the worship
service W ednesday and Mrs, Lobb played the
organ and Mr. Lobb sang. Mrs. Elliott and
Mrs. McGonigle read poems.
On Thursday residents had a game of
shuffleboard and on Friday played bingo.

A rink skipped by Al Siemon, of the
Mitchell area, won the 11 a.m. draw at the
annual Farmer's Bonspiel at the Seaforth
Curling Club on January 15. Other members

was a rink skipped by Barry Taylor of
Vanastra.
Also in the 9 a.m. draw, Gerard Beuer-
mann, of Seaforth skipped the second place
rink: Gerald McBride, of Exeter, skipped the
third place rink, while Brian McGavin, of
Walton, was the skip for the rink taking the
consolation prize:,
Placing seb'ofidn the 11 a.m. draw was
Brian Triebner's rink from Vanastra, Gerry
Walters was skip of the third place rink and
Doug Socked, of Palmerston skipped the
consolation rink.
In all, 64 curlers from Vanastra, Exeter,
Goderich, Mitchell, Palmerston and Seaforth
took part in the event, sponsored by McGavin
Farm Equipment, Walton and Hensall Co-op,
Seaforth.
Petites undefeated.
The Petite Ringette squad knew it had to
play hard when they played their third game
against Exeter on Saturday. They had less
than two lines.
But despite being short players, their
determination to win gave them a 7-1 lead
after the first period and an eventual 11-2
win.
Goals were scored by Janice Rodney (4),
Jill Betties (2), Jill W ood (3) and Robyn
Carnochan and Christa Leonhardt one each.
Seaforth assists went to Christa Leonhardt (1)
and Janice Rodney (2).
Goalie Jennifer Marion only allowed two
goals to the Exeter team. They were scored
by Julie McLeod and Cheynne Westlake.

The giris played their last game in
Goderich on Sunday. They lost the game
10-5. Goaltending was very good as Tracey
Fortune kept the girls in the game on several
occasions.
Goals were scored by Tanury Nash with
three. Lisa Henderson with one and Sara
Teall alp with one.
The Junior Belles Ringette team played
Mittreil on home Ice January 8 and lost the
game in a tough battle. 10-6.
In the last few minutes of the game the girls
scored five goals.
Tammy Nash hada great game scoring five
of the six goals. Tawnya Taylor scored the
other goal. Assists went to Lisa Henderson
with two, Kerry Stanley with one and Shelly
Nigh also with one.
