Bowlers compete in Clinton
BYGORDON SCO'f r, PRO
The Zone Bowling Tournament was held
Saturday at the Clinton Bowling Lanes and
sponsored by the Clinton Legion. Seaforth
sent three teams to play but only one team
qualified to go to the District meet. Those
qualifying were Don Eaton, Jack Eisler, Don
Word, Mel Melanson, Al Smale and Jack
Muir.
The stag euchre held last Wednesday was
well attended with 11' tables in play. These
euchre nights will be held every other week
from now until the end of March. The next
euchre is January 22 at 8 p.m.
The Legion Friday night bowling league
has now completed three-quarters of its
schedule for this year. Anyone who has not
paid their bowling dues should do so at their
earliest convenience. It will help to keep the
books straight.
The general monthly meeting will be held
Thursday at 8 p.m. The Branch has ordered
sumo Diamond Jubilee ruins valued at $25
each. One will be won each month by
members attending the meeting. These coins
will he a collector's item in the years to come.
At the going down of (he sun and in the
morning we will remember them.
