Euchre club underway at Manor
Residenls at Seaforth Health Care Facility

week. The euchre club held their first euchre
of the new year with five tables in play.

consolation going to Doris Smith. Ed Dunn
won the prize for most lone hands. A social
lisle followed the euchre.
Tuesday morning Junior Volunteers assist-
ed residents with wheelchair bowling and
beanbag 1oss.
Worship services were conducted by Rev.
Barber of First Presbyterian Church on
W ednesday afternoon with Henrietta Brown
pianist for the ,hymns. Father C. Caruana
held mass 011 Friday afternoon for all Catholic
residents. .
'Fhe ladies indoor gardening protect of
amaryllis and spring bulbs Is progressing
favorably with several sten indicating they
would also like to plant an amaryllis bulb. Ila
Gardner is recording the progress and growth
of bulbs each week,
Friday morning bingo was enjoyed by
residentsmid Monday afternoon bowling saw

District Hospital Nursing Assistant Program.

Nurses. After attending St. Patrick's School
in 'Dublin. she graduated from the Mitchell
and District High School. She completed the
Behavioral Science Program al Fanshawe
College, London. Mary Katherine is present-

Donna Lynne Dodds of Seaforth. Melissa

Hotchkiss of Mount Forest were recipients of
S1.500 H.H. Hershman Foundation Seholar-
ships at an awards ceremony held at the
University of Guelph recently.
Provided by the H.H. Hershman Founda-
tion of Toronto, the scholarships are granted
to students in Family and Consumer Studies
who have shown academic proficiency and
potential for leadership.
Ninety other students in the College of
Family and Consumer Studies were honored .
during the ceremony. Graduate and under-
graduate students shared in excess of
590.000 in fellowships and scholarships.

on January 6 with president Doris Camochan
welcoming everyone.
Wanda Dietz introduced the study theme
for 1986 "Canada's Native People" with a
film. "As We See it."
The Febnrary 3 meeting will take the form
of a dessert euchre at 7 p.m. with the general
public invited. Marjorie Coleman is in
charge. There will also be a bake sale.
