DRAINAGE SUPERINTENDENT
Bill Dietrich of Kelley Associates attended
last week's council meeting and discussed
the duties and advantages of hiring a drain
superintendent for the township.
The township presently has a drainage
commissioner in accordance with their
drainage bylaw. Hiring a drainage superin-
tendent, however, would allow the township
to take advantage of a grant subsidy which
would allow them to do some drainage work
for one-third less cost. }Illy per cent of the
Superintendent's fees would be subsidized.
Clerk Friend said the move could be
beneficial to the township's ratepayers.
Council has made no decision on the
proposal.
