OF THE PASSING OF A
ZONING BY-LAW BY THE
CORPORATION OF THE
TOWNSHIP OF HULLETT
TAKE NOTICE that the Council of the Corporation of the Township of 'Juliet has passed
.By-law 16-1987 on the 3rd day of November, 1987, under Section 34 of The Planning Act; 1983.
And take notice that any person or agency may appeal to the Ontario Municipal Board in
respect of the by-law by filing with the Clerk of the Township of Hullett, not later than the
8th day of December, 1987, a notice of appeal setting out the objection to the by-law and
the reasons in support of the objection.
An explanation of the purpose and effect of the by-law, describing the lands to which' the
by-law applies, and Key Maps showing the location of the lands to which the bylaw applies
is provided below. The complete by -law -is available for inspection at my office during regular
office hours.

The explanation and purpose of this by-law is to regulate the use of lands and the character.
location, and use of buildings and structures, •and to prohibit certainbuildings and struc-
tures in various defined areas of the Township of Hullett. The zoning by-law implements
the Hullett Township Secondary Plan and provides for specific land use regulations to en-
sure that the policies of the Secondary Plan are realized. A summary of the contents of the
• bylaw are as follows: .
SECTION 1 - presents the administrative details, a summary table of the Zones, Symbols
and Section Numbers.
SECTION 2 • (Definitions) provide terms used for reference, to specify the meaning of the
terms used in. the by-law. There are also diagrams which explain lot and building terms.
SECTION 3 - General Provisions • This section applies to all lands in the Township of Hullett.
It deals with such issues as non -complying uses, non -conforming uses, parldng requirements,
planting stripe, etc, ,
SECTION 4- through 22 • Land Use Zones - present the various hand use.zones. It is In these
sections that the various uses of land are given and the various provisions governing the
use of land are presented,
SECTION 23 • Separation Distance Tables - This section includes the formulas and tables
for calculating the minimum separation distances -in agricultural areae.
SCHEDULE "A" • The schedule consists of an index map and numerous detailed Key Maps
which cover the entire Township. On these key maps are found the land use zones which
correspond to Section 4 through 22 of the text of the by-law. ,
This by-law applies to all lands within the Corporation of the Township of Hullett as shown
on the map below,

Graduation for .Shirley Van Loon,
daughter of Joe and Olga Eckert of Dublin
was held in Toronto on .Friday evening.
Shirley graduated from Travel and
Tourism. She • is presently employed at' a
Toronto travel agency. -
The people attending the graduation were
her parents Joe and Olga, Roger and
Wilhemina Hooraut, Ken and Helma Wright
of Seaforth.
The guests were treated to a dinner in
' Richmond Hill by her husband; Rieny. They
spent the weekend at their home in Rich-
mond Hill.
Ron and Theresa Murray flew to Montreal
to watch their son, Dave play soccer for
Wilfred. Laurier University -in the Canadian
Finals against McGill University. In the
semi-finals they beat McGill 2-1 and in the
finals they lost 3-1 to the Victoria team.
From there the Murray's motored to Pitt-
sburg, N.Y. to watch son, Greg play hockey
with Brickport University. In that game
Greg got one goal but the team lost 6-4. They
played another game with Bon Adventure
team where Greg scored two goals. The
team won that game 10-2.
Mr. and Mrs. Dave Evans of Niagara
Falls visited with their grandmother, Mrs.
Millie Evans of Dublin on the weekend.

visited" with her uncle, Elmer Feeney `of
• Dublin on Saturday.
Jack and Denise Kelly of Stratford and
Mrs.,Orval Davidson of Toronto were with
us on the weekend and they also spent some
Vitimella. with our mother and grandmother,
Mrs. Ada Davidson of the Mitchell Ritz

Dorothy and Jim Delany have returned
from their much enjoyed trip to Las Vegas.
Wayne and friend of Cambridge called on
Joe and Olga Eckert on Sunday evening.
The 1st Cromarty"Scout Troop had the
pleasure of investing three new Scouts into
the troop on Sunday, November 15 in a
clearing in a bush. They were -Steven Dear-
ing, Ryan Vandervliet and Steven Pullman.
After repeating their Promise and Law they
were each presented the Scout Badge by
their Troop Leader, Nelson Pullman and
then formally introduced to their patroles
by their respective Patrol Leaders, Jason
Fleming and Joe 'Van Bakel.
After the investment the Troop was for-
mally. introduced to the two new Scout
Counsellors, Jim Partachek and Linda
Pullman. 'Jim was also invested and given
the Cromarty colors.
After a walk in the woods and a snack'
which was cooked over an open fire the
troop was called back into its horseshoe for
presentation of many Achievement and
Challenge badges recently earned.

sored by the St. Columban Catholic
Women's League, was held Saturday even-..
ing-at-the-Brodhagen-Community Centre.
Spot dances were won by 'Mr. and Mrs.
McClure and Mr. and Mrs..Jim Van Bakel.
Joe Visser and Linda Smith won a prize for
the twist dance. The fqur door prizes were
won by John Van Dooren, Eileen MacRae,
Marg Van Bakel and Paul Elliott.
The executive of the CWL, thanks all those
who attended the party and who made dona-
tions to make the dance such a big success.

after spending 10.days with her daughter
Catherine Janossy of Mississauga.
Catherine will be moving to Marathon at the
-end of-November--where-she-will join --her
husband Janos who has been transferred.

had supper with.Mary Moylan on Saturday
and attended the Harvest Dance, in
Brodhagen in the evening.
Tom and Joanne Melady visited on Sun-
day with Mr. and Mrs. John Rdks of
Deleware on the occasion of Mr. •Rok''s
birthday.
Leona O'Connor. of Toronto spent the
weekend' with Frank and Marion Murray
and Mr. and Mrs. Terry O'Connor spent the
weekend with Laurie and Colleen Fischer
and all attended the. St. Columban dance in -

Attending the Perth South District Ex-
ecutive banquet at the Sebringvilie United
Church last Monday evening were Joyce Vi-
vian, Kay Smale, Lillian Douglas and
Roberta Templeman. Joyce Vivian
demonstrated and displayed a number of
Christmas craft ideas and sewing ideas for
gifts. Staffa Women's Institute will be
responsible for hosting the District Ex-
ecutive banquet in 1988.
UNITED CHURCH WOMEN
When the Hibbert United Church Women
met for their regular meeting it was
Remembrance Day and they were led in
suitable meditation and prayer by Jay
Dearing and Ada Pethick. After leading all
in a service of worship and recall, they were
assisted by 51argaretChristie in presenting
a film strip, "Farming here and in Africa".
A short discussion followed concerning the
church's mission in the area of food
production.
Business for the day, with chairman
Margaret Daynard, included the receiving
of the nominating committee's report given
by Mary F. Dow, plus plans for Christmas
remembrance and decorations.
Donations of money were made to Alma
College, Optimism place and Drug and
Alcohol concerns.
The meeting was closed with a poem of
remembrance and faith, prepared and read
by Margaret Kemp.
Hostesses Helen Fell and Wilma Butson
invited all to enjoy a delicious lunch and a
friendly cup of tea.
United Church Women members and •
friends are busy quilting every Tuesday this
season.
