Engineer investigates
- Tuckersmith shed
' •Tuckersmith Township council and its
' . engineer, Bill- Kelly of W.E.' Kelly and
Associates of Kitchener, .visited .the. propos-
ed site of the township shed on June 30. The
shed will be 114 feet by 55 feet and is to be
built on concession 2 west of Egmondville.
The approximate cost will not"be revealed
to the press until the tenders are in. •
, Mr. Kelly reviewed the preliminary ar-
chitect's plans. He was given a legal surVey
of the property, the zoning by-law set back
• requirements and the elevations and lot
grading plan presently on file, at the
township office. The proposed schedule of
time for preparation of the final plans,
tender call and construction were reviewed
with the engineer, also various alternatives
as to the layout of the banding and exterior
siding.
Council members have visited number
of sheds in area townships to get ideas that
• might be useful.
On July 10 at 10 a.m. another council
meeting will be .held to complete the final
- details.
In other business council will enter into an
agreement with"the Ministry of Citizenship
and Culture for. the town's'participation in
the Building Rehabilitation and Improve-
ment Plan BRIC). Homeowners could
receive 50 per cent off the cost to restore a
house back to its original conditien.,

Seaforth and District Community Centres
Board .to establish a $13,000 reserve out of
its 1987 budget allocation for A parking- lot
project and to transfer the existing $17,0Q0
reserve fund to the parking lot reserve fund.
Township ratepayers are being advised to
niake 'sure their mailboxes' are located on
the grassy shoulders of the roads, not on the
gravel. The posts should also be the stan-
dard wooden type. These are to meet safety
regulations and insurance requirements.

$8,548.83; special day care centre • at
Vanastra, $7,965.43; Vanastra Recreation

Street lights installed
Last week's Huron Expositor contained
an article concerning a new street light pole
installed on Victoria Street from Gouinlock
to Crombie Streets. It said the job was
budgeted for $55,000. Irifact, five street light
poles were erected at a budgeted cost of
$5,500. Our apologies for any embarrass-
ment this error might have caused.
The June 24 edition of The Huron Ex-
positor contained a photograph of the music
students of Carol Carter who performed in a
recent recital. Cheryl McLlwain was pre-
sent at the recital but her name was omitted
from the photograph. She was positioned in
the second row between Jodie Hugill and
Sharon Godkin. Another student, Ben Lobb,
was absent from the photo._
