Commission manager Tom Phillips said the 'company admitted the transformers had wrong nameplates and there were typing errors on the incoices, but they still want the com mission to pay the bill, which include the federal tax. The new transformers were installed May 11 without incident. Mr. Phillips said the commission is will- ing to pay the bill -except for the federal tax and the cost of the experts. RENTAL FEES CN rail recently reviewed rental feeds paid by the PUC for hydro line crossings at Crombie, Willow and Jarvis Streets and some water crossings. The PUC was given a choice of paying $60 annually for five years or $540 in advance for a 10 -year period,. which' would be retroactive to June 1, 1987. The PUC chose the second option. Since 1973 the PUC has paid $15'annually in- cluding taxes. A new street light pole was installed recently on Victoria Street from Gouinlock to Crombie Streets. The job was budgeted for $55,000 and Mr. Phillips said they will be very close to that figure. The Electrical Utility Safety Association of Ontario Inc., presented the PUC with a certificate of merit for 10 years of service without injury or accident. This covers the period of 1977 to 1987. Mr. Phillips said the commission' is proud to receive the award and said he hopes they can make it 20 years. - JOHN ELLIGSEN ELECTRIC •Farm Wiring LTA' *House Wiring •Commercial Wiring *Pole Line Construction •Hydro Poles "You name it well wire it" PHONE 345-2447 "24hr, Emergency Service" John Elligsen Electric Ltd.
