(Dan) Tyndall were married "Saturday,
June 27,. 1987, ..at St. Joseph's Catholic
Church, Clinton by Father john Pluta. The
bride is the daughter of Ken and Dorothy
Dupee of Clinton and the groom is the son of
Bill and Irma Marshall of RR 5 Clinton.
Maid of honor was Margaret •Dupee of
Hamilton, sister of the brideand
bridesmaids were Lesa Butt of -Stratford,
cousin of the bride, Laurie Pruss of London,
sister of the groom and Jane Symons of
Minden, friend of the bride. Kimberly
Shelton of RR 2 Goderich, cousin of the bride .
was flower girl. Best man was Charlie. Wise
of London, friend of the groom 'and guests
were ushered. by Robert Dupee of Clinton,
brother of the bride, Chuck Pruss of London,
brother-in-law of the groom and George Col-
lins of RR 2 Kippen, friend of the groom.
Dean Puss of . London was' ringbearer.
Following a reception held at the Stanley.

St. Michael's Church in Waterloo was the
setting for the double wedding ring
ceremony Saturday,' June 13, 1987 uniting •
Robert `Keith Fisher and Anne Elizabeth •
Dorcht in marriage. The groom is the son of
Gerald and Eleanor Fisher, Kitchener and.
the grandson of Violet Elgie, Seaforth and
Erwin Fisher of Waterloo. The bride is the
daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Earl Dorcht of
Waterloo. The wedding was held at
Woolner's Catering, Dearborn Place,
Waterloo. Following a honeymoon in
Jamaica the couple will reside at 331 Lee
Circle, Waterloo.
OBITUARIES
JENNY MCNAUGHTON,
Jenny May McNaughton of London, and
formerly of Tuckersmith Township, died
Saturday, June 27, 1987 at St. Joseph's
Hospital, London. She was 91.
The former Jenny Sholdice, she is surviv-
ed by one daughter, Hazel Harrison and
husband Herb; and three sons, Harold of
Mitchell, Earl of Seaforth and Arthur of
London.
Also surviving are 10 grandchildren, 19.
great grandchildren and one sister, Annie
Williamson of Listowel, formerly of Walton.
Mrs, McNaughton was predeceased by
her husband John A. McNaughton; one
sister, Margaret Clark; two brothers, John
and Watson and one grandson Lorne
Harrison.
Friends were received at the Whitney-
Ribey Funeral Home, Seaforth until Tues-
day when a funeral service was held. Burial
at Maitland Bank Cemetery, Seaforth.
Pallbearers were Art McNaughton, Den-
-nis McIntosh, Bob. Gridzak, Earl Mullin,
Stan Debug and Glenn McNaughton.
Flowerbearers were Ray Harrison, Eric
Harrison, Ken Sholdice and Ron Broadfoot.
JEANE DAISY ZILER
Jeane Daisy Ziler of Seaforth died Tues-
day, June 23, 1987 At the Stratford General
Hospital. She was 66.
Born in St, Thomas she was a daughter of
the late Harry Smith and Mary Ann Mann-
ing. Following her marriage in 1951 to
Henry Ziler she moved to Seaforth where
Henry ran the machine shop in Egmond-
ville, She was also involved with her hus-
band in the Radar Circle Car Club.
Mrs, Ziler had served in the RCAF from
1942 to 1945 during World War II and was a
regular member . of the Royal Canadian
Legion. She was also a member of St. Jarr
Roman Catholic Church, Seaforth anu
member of its Catholic Women's League.
She is survived by her husband Henry
Ziler; two daughters, Patricia and her hus-
band Edwen Bearss of Mitchell and "Judith
and her husband Paul Yost of Stratford and
one son James Ziler at home.
Also surviving are two grandchildren,
Laura and Danny Bearss; one sister Dor-
thea (Mrs. George Kelly) of Newmarket
and one brother John Smith of St. Thomas.
Mrs. Ziler was predeceased by one sister
Alice Player and one brother William
Smith.
Friends called at the Ball and Falconer
"Box Funeral Chapel", Seaforth and a
funeral sennet was held Friday at , St.
James Church, Seaforth with the Reverend
Charles Caruana officiating.
A memorial service was conducted at the
funeral home on Thursday by 'members of
the Seaforth Legion. Family devotions were
held at the funeral home on Wednesday
evening led by Rev. C. Caruana and
members of St. James Roman Catholic
Church CWL,
Flower bearers were Tom and Lenny
Dietrich and Michael Strauss, nephews of
Mrs. Ziler,
Pallbearer$ were George Case, Everett
Felker, Frank Golding, Allan Nicholson,
Frank Phillips and Frank Sills, all members
of the Royal Canadian Legion Branch 156
Seaforth. Interment St. James Cemetery.

Queensway acknowledges nursing home• week.

Wednesday afternoon brought residents to
the last Wednesday for car rides •in the
month of June: Several residents took part
in this activity the past month, and as usual
it was enjoyed tremendously. We'd like to
thank all the ladies from the Christian
Reformed Church who made our Wednes-
day afternoon very special,
On Thursday morning the Resident Coun-
cil met for June. Then in the afternoon
several residents made their way outside, to
celebrate the June birthdays, at the monthly
birthday party, Three very happy birthdays
are wished to Dorothy Hastings, Rosa.G.rigg
and Louise Scrymgeour,
Last week was known as Nursing Home
Week, in Ontario so in honor of the occasion
the Resident Council of Queensway purchas-
ed corsages to present to all staff members
to show their appreciation and to salute
them for all their hard and dedicated work
thoughout the year,,
Monday was a very special day, as well as
traditional for Queensway. Many residents
made their way up to; Bill Gibson"cottage
for the fifth year in a row. It was a delightful
afternoon of visiting :and enjoying Bill's
very own carrot cake. We'd like to thank
Bill, the drivers and all thevolunteers who
were able to make this • day possible, it is
deeply appreciated.•
Tuesday morning residents started their
Morning with an invigorating exercise
class, which was followed up in the after-
noon with the weekly church service. This
week 'Reverend Hawley from Exeter came
up to deliver the service.. Rev, Hawley was

Thursday evening guests of Terry Ward of
Monkton were Mr. and Bryan McClure and
Amy, Mr, and Mrs. Norman Hubley, Mr,
and Mrs. Harvey Ward. Mr. and Mrs, Jack
Ward and Sally Scott, The occasion was
Norman's birthday.
Mr. and Mrs. Paul McCallum entertained
their neighbors and; friends as well as
friends from U.S.A. on Sundayto a
barbecue. •
Mr. and Mrs. Les Peters of .RR 4 Walton
have returned to their home after spending
a month in"Vancouver.

Members and friends of the Hibbert
United Church Women, gathered for their
annual "eat out" luncheon, this time at the
Ponderosa, Stratford. This was followed by
a'business meeting heldoutdoors in the park
and conducted by Margaret Christie.
- .After a short program and various reports
including a review of the strawberry and
ham supper, motions were passed making
donations to Camp Bimini and to the local
church fund. Mary F. Dow told about her
day at the recent Presbyterial camping ex-
perience at Menesetung. Upcoming events
were' noted, more music was sung, and an
enjoyable event was over again for another
year, ..

Templeman, Staffa, met with- Grace Camp-
bell on Tuesday at Shedden for lunch, later
going to Grace's home at Iona Station for
dessert and a visit:
Nine members of Staffa Women's In-
stitute, attended and enjoyed the 35th an-
niversary celebration of Glen Gowrie
Women's Institute at Russeldale Hall on
Wednesday evening,
`Chuck and Dorothy Ebel, Goderich, spent
the weekend with their grandchildren, Car-
rah, Cain and Cohen Templeman, while
their parents, Rob and Bev Templeman, at-
tended the fifteenth year reunion of Rob's

afternoon from 2-4:30 p.m, hada terrific tur-
nout, and the weather couldn't have been

a pre -marital shower for Mary Parsons'on.
Sunday afternoon when friends of Mary
honoured her with many lovely and useful
gifts. Readings were given by Christine
Louwagie • and Janice Vivian. Games con-
ducted by Sharon Louwagie and Mary Jane
Parsons were enjoyed. Mary was assisted in'
opening her gifts by her niece Cassandra.
Mary expressed her thanks to all and lunch
was enjoyed.

returned from a holiday in Florida,

The Strawb,prry Social had a very special
• goal 'and that was to raise money for the
.Alzheimer .Association. All. proceeds from
the social, will be donated to this very wor-
thwhile organization.
A day like last Friday cannot be so suc-
cessful without a lot of dedicated people who
put in a lot of time and effort to help, us.
. To begin thanks to the ladies from the
Zurich Mennonite Church for coming in and.
serving the delicious strawberries, ice
cream, cake and not to mention the whip
cream.
Throughout the afternoon all enjoyed
super entertainment by Queensway's own
residents'as well ,as welcomed guests. Vic-
toriaBiaback began the afternoon of music
and song with two songs from, the hit broad -
way show Annie. Victoria did a great job
. and it. is hoped she'll be able to make it over
to Queensway to entertain again in the near
future,
Other entertainment included Lloyd,
McDougall who Whistled, and Lucille Jef-
frey and Carol Gascho who sang'a beautiful
duet.,
To top off the afternoon, George •Mathonia
and Friends popped by to entertain, with
some great music; which was enjoyedby
every one. •
Residents also had. a raffle which was a
huge success. Lucky -'winners were as.
follows; prize No, 4 - Animal Stories, Velma
Robinson, prize No. 3 Storybook, Amy
Zwart, prize No. 2 - Cookbook, Doniia Allen,
prize No. 1 - Afghan, Grace Eyre.
Queensway would like to congratulate all
the winners plus those who supported this
years' raffle by buying a ticket.
Last but not least they'd like to thank all of
Queensway staff for being very supportive
and helping out all afternoon before, during
and after the event. Their help and patience.
