JANE BELL, daughter of John and Edith
Bell, RR 2' Seaforth graduated on June 5 in
Convocation Hall, University of Toronto,
• with her Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy
Degree. Jane is a graduate of Seaforth
•District High School, where she was an On-
tario scholar, and of Hullett Centra j Public
School. She is presently employed at
Keating's Pharmacy in Seaforth.
PAUL KIRKBY, son of Doug and Jeanne
Kirkby, Walton, received his Honors
Bachelor of Science (Biology) degree from
the University of Waterloo on May 29, 1987.
Paul is a former graduate of Walton Public
School, Seaforth Public School and Seaforth
District High School. He has accepted -a
position as Quality Assurance Supervisor,
Campbell Soup Co. Ltd., Chatham.
-DEBBIE 'COSTELLO, daughter of Erma
and the late Bernard Costello of Seaforth,
recently graduated on the President's
Honor List from Lamhton College, Sarnia in'
• the Business Administration -Program -
Accounting Major. She has accepted a posi-
tion with Structural Tech 'Corporation Ltd.
• in Sarnia.
STEVE DOUGLAS HENDERSON, son of
Helen and Ray Henderson, of RR 2 Seaforth,
graduated fromthe Conestoga Cpllege of
Applied -Arts and Technology with a
Business" Administration -Accounting
diploma at the Spting Convocation on June
13, 1987. He is currently employed by Spar-

LINDA VAN DYK, youngest daughter of
Margaret Van Dyke, RR4 Seaforth and the
late Ted Van Dyk, graduated from the Early •
Childhood Education prograrn at Lambton
College in Sarnia at their 20th Convocation
ceremony on Saturday, June 13, 1987. She
was on the President's Honor Roll, both
years and received the President's award
for having the highest academic achieve- '
ment throughout, her coutse, Linda is a
former graduate of Seaforth District High
School and St. James Separate School. She
has accepted a position as a teacher with
Festival City Nursery School inStratford
starting September 1987.

MARGARET ANNE NOLAN, daughter of
JOe and. Helen Nolan of -RR 2 -.Dublin,
graduated from Fanshawe College, June 19,
1987 with a diploma in the Dental Assistant
Program. Marg attended St. Colurnban
elementary school and Seaforth District
High School. She is employed with Dr.
Kovacheff, London.,
HENRIETTA (HENRI) DE WIT, daughter
of Mr. and Mrs. Simon de Wit of RR 2 Dublin
has successfully completed the diploma
program for secretarial arts at Sheridan
College in Brampton. She is currently
employed'in her field of study at Stratford
General Hospital.
DEBBIE HENDERSON, daughter of Mr.
and Mrs. John Henderson of Sauble Beach,
formerly Seaforth, graduated 'from the
Social Service Worker Program at Mohawk
College. Debbie is a former graduate of
Seaforth District High School and Seaforth
Public School,
BRIAN COOMBS, son of Mr. arid Mrs.
Wesley Coombs of RR 2 Seaforth, recently
graduated from Conestoga College, Guelph
in Business Administration -Materials
Management. He has accepted a position
with Cleaver -Brooks, Stratford.
•Seaforth Legion initiates four new club members

The Seaforth Legion's last general mon-
thly meeting was held Thursday evening
with 24 members present. President Jim
Watson was in the chair. Four new
members were initiated into the member-
ship by the initiating committee. The new
members are Ron McKiver, Bill McKiver,
'Glen Allen and Laura Costello. •
Treasurer Don Eaton had his yearly
financial report for the meeting. In future
years the fiscal year will run from June 1 to
May 31 the following year. Anyone wishing
to read the report will find it on the bulletin
board. It there are any questions Mr. Eaton
will be only too pleased to answer them.
Kevin. Bennett emerged the winner of
men's gold tournament held Saturday. All
the golfers received. a prize and were
treated to a barbecued steak dinner. A vote
of thanks is owed to Mel Melanson and his
Geri from Germany

Awards Banquet. There will be a social hour

Word was received of the death last week
of William I Doc Cameron of Hensall and
formerly of Seaforth. Comrade Cameron
was a member of Seaforth Branch 156 prior
to transferring to Henaall. His wife Jessie
was the Auxiliary's .first president when
organized in 1952. To Jessie and their
children are offered sincere sympathies in
their loss of a husband and father. Branch
156 joined Hensall Branch for a memorial
service last Sunday evening.
They grow not old as we thatare left grow
old. Age shall not weary them nor the years
condemn. At the going down of the sun and
in the morning we will remember them.
CATHERINE ELIZABETH MEIDINGER,
daughter of Veronica Meidinger and the late
Delmer Meidinger 'of Seaforth graduated
from Fanshaw College with honors from the
Development Service Worker program in
the cermonies held Friday, June 19, 1987.
Catherine is presently employed in a
behavorial unit at the Children's Village,

Agreement

endrate for secretaries and teacher
assistants on July '1, 1987 and January 1,
1988. In year two the agreement -calls for a ,
4.2 per cent increase to the endrate. In addi-
tion to this the major salary grid will be
reduced from 4 years to 3 years,
A four over five plan which will allow in-
dividuals to take a self-funded leave has also
been instituted. The. plan is similar to that
provided for the teacher groups.
