The Seaforth Junior Farmers held a
, meeting on June 9 at the Seaforth . and
District Community Centre. constable John
Marshall showed a film called "Under the
Influence" and answered questions from the
members•
Cherryl Smith thanked Mr. Marshall and,
Presented him witk a gift, then opened the
meeting with the Junior Farmer Song,
followed by the minutes and treasurer's,.
report.
The, Seaforth Junior•.. Farmers have
planted a garden at the Vanneste family
home, it is a Provincial'Junior Farmer Pro-
jectcalled "Plant a Seed for Need", with the
purpose to grow 'produce to feed needy
families. _

June meeting in,the form of a tour to Triple
K restaurant at Blyth for dinner, followed
by a short meeting.
Marina Scott, a Veterinarian presently at- ,
tending university to further her education
was guest speaker. June being -dairy month;
she spoke about the value of milk in one's
diet and the dangers of using raw milk, She
lives on a dairy farm so• told of many things
concerning the work, care andcleanliness of
the milking area.

From July 15; to 26, 1987'. Huron: County
Junior Farmers will be hosting three United
Kingdom delegates and one Australian
delegate. Elaine'McMaster is from Ireland
and she lives on a dairy farm, she will be
hosted by Cherryl Smith and her family.
The Junior Farmer ofthe MontirAward
was given to Dave and Dianne Vanneste and
family for donating the land for the garden.
