HIGHEST ACHIEVEMENT - Bill Cameron, 1st Cromarty Scout leader, presented Jason
McCaughey of. Staffa with the Chief Scout award at a special gathering of the troop
Sunday afternoon. The Chief Scout award is the highest award that can be achieved in
a Scout troop. Jason has been a Scout for three years and prior to that was a Beaver
and a Cub: John Wilkinson, also of Staffa, was the second recipient of the Chief Scout
award, but was unable to be in attendance at Sunday's meeting, Jason and John are
the first. Si,outs in the 17 year history of the Cromarty Scout troop to receive the Chief
•Scout award.

spoke on the life of a family, beginning with
the marriage vows. Christopher Scott led in
the prayers of rejoicing and the offering was
received by Sherri Elliott and Lisa
Gardiner,

While in Ottawa they stayed at the Hotel
Roxborough, within walking distance of the
Parliament Buildings; National Art Gallery,
War Museum, etc., so it was a most ea-
. joyableholiday. BecauseOttawa had had a
spell of very warm weather earlier, the
tulips were in full bloom, as were the lilacs,
and the trees were more leafed out than at
home.
The group committee for Cromarty
Scouts mel recently to finalize plans for the
family dinner in Dublin Community Centre
at which two scouts will be presented' with
Chief Scout Plaques.
All leaders reported the boys •enjoyed
their day at Huron -o -Rama. The cubs had
also been on a hike to the woods and examin-
ed the sinkhole in Nelson Howe's bush.
The final meeting for the 1986-7 year will
be held on June 8.
