The school buses were rather empty.,that day as the parents transported many science fair projects. During the last period on Tuesday the pro- jects were set up. Grade 5 and 6 students were invited to participate.this year. There were so many exhibits, the Grade 8s had to put,their displays in the hall. It was a record turn out for the school. ,Topics ranged from cokeacid. tests to a computer -remote con tolled toy. There were only three computer Projects: Others had used computers to make print-outs. Parents and visitors look - ed at the projects' on Wednesday. By eliminating, combining, re -arranging and simplifying jobs, work can be much easier. The girls also ' learned about washing dishes, making beds, how to vacuum and some tips and other skills on working around the house safely and properly. IAING 345-2:.26 Lucie Milne of Mitchell, conducted the Cromarty church service Sunday and for her children's story showed a geode, which is a stone having a cavity lined with crystals. She said geodes are like people, you have to look inside to find the good and the beautiful. Her sermon was entitled "Where here was God when...?", based on the story of the widow of Nain. The responsive reading was taken by Dan Elliott and the junior choir, with Carol Ann Scott at the organ, sang, "Something to sing abbut".
