Ontario Horticultural Association on a tour of

Horticultural society hosts
district 8 annual meeting •
A welcome was extended by Seaforth Hor-
ticultural president Luanne Phair, as well
as by a representative of the town.
Guest speakers included Chris Rust, of
Dundalk, who spoke on "Raised Beds", Tom
Lemon, who spoke on Main Street Seaforth
and Ron Hills, of Durham, who spoke on
"Landscaping with Annuals."
The Seaforth Horticultural Society played
host ° Satdrday to the annual meeting of
District 8 of the Ontario Horticultural
Association.
Appproximately 200 people at-
tended the event, which was held. at
Egmondville United Church in the morning
and the Seaforth Legion following lunch.
All findings and information gained at
the hospital are shared freely with doctors
and hospitals all over the world. Thanks to
St. Jude's, children who have leukemia,
Hodgkin's disease, sickle cell anemia, and

The Seaforth Happy Citizens No. 865 held
their April meeting in the Legion Hall with
President Grace Broadfoot in the chair.
Following the opening Grace welcomed
everyone and read a poem "When April
Smiles" . •
The roll call was answered by 47 members
• and there were five visitors present.
• The treasurer showed the club has $210.28
• on hand.
Margaret Smale reported on -cards sent.
The Spring Rally is being held in
Dashwood on April 7 with Dashwood Good
• Companions and Grand Bend Golden Age
Clubs hosting it.

held in Guelph on- August 10,11,12. Hazel
McNaughton is one delegate.
The Happy Citizens are. participating in

likes to walk. Bea Storey is looking after it.
