Speaking contest set
Last week we made ah error in the date of
the Legion Public- Speaking contest. It is
scheduled to be held Sunday. February 22 at
2 p.m. Please note the change. These
Competitions held between the local schools
.in the community -have been well attended in
the past. with some of the contestants
speaking in the Ontario finals. Bruce.W ilbee.
who is the.Legiort's chairman for the Public
Speaking, would like to see a good crowd to
hear these young hopefuls. The winners in
eachgroup will ge to the Zone final held later.
Don't forget the bus to Mitchell this
Saturday night. The bus is leaving around 5
p.m. Saturday afternoon and returning later
in the evening. There is no charge for the bus
'so feel free to take advantage of this
opportunity to visit Mitchell branch and enjoy
their barbecue and dance '

is scheduled for Saturday. March 7. The

involved was turned over to the Salvation
Army in Wirigham.

during the tate evening hours on December
18. 1986.
Investigation that night by a conservation
officer procured evidence of an illegal deer
kill. A search warrant was later obtained and
executed by Wingham Digtriet conservation
officers.

Although a project was established five
years ago in the Seaforth-llensall-WaIten-
Dublin area a leek Of fundt.for so large an
area forced its den -Ate. The project did,
however, start op again on November 15,
1986, this time incorporating only the town of
Staforth and the surrounding rural routes.
Marjorie Phillips, of Seaforth* is the area
coordinator of the project. It is her job to
locate, through -einerits placed in
the local newspaper and through word-of-
inOnth, those people eligible to receive the
gitts-CSS hos to offer. The only conditleir of
eligibilityis that a recipient must live in the
town of Seaferth. Or on one of its rural
routes.
On behalf of CSS Mrs. Pliillips sends out'
