The decision was made following a recommendation from the town's Transportation and Environment comfit - tee, after it received a mutat for street lighting from builders of a new home on West William Street. Council's representative on the commit- tee said the decision to install more than one street light was made based on the idea their presence might foster subdivi- sion expansion in that area. Depending on the number of poles and lights installed the cost could range bet- ween $1,200 to $3.500. CONSIDER GRANT Town Council has forwarded a recom- mendation to its Finance and General Government Committee from the Recrea- tion and Parks Committee that the Op- timist Club receive a grant of $1,000 in 1987 to help -offset capital costs.
