RECYCLING PROGRAM 4'•
A compartment bin for recyclable materials is now stationed at the Walton
Landfill Site. Recyclable materials will be accepted as follows:
1] Newspaper: whatever comes with a daily newspaper is
acceptable. Please bundle or piece In boxes or
bags. No magazines, catalogues, telephone
books, etc.
2] Glass:
3] Metal Cans:
Household bottle and jars, preferably without
the lids. Must be rinsed or washed. Labels may
be left on. No window panes, light bulbs, china,
etc.
Food cans must be rinsed out. Pop cans are
acceptable as is. Please flatten as much as
possible.
4] Plastic Soft Drink Remove the lids and flatten if possible.

The Ethel Women's Institute is sponsoring a recycling information
meeting at the Grey Central School on September 13th at 8:00 p.m.

Double playoff necessary
A double playoff created an exciting finish
to the Annual Junior Invitation at Seaforth
Golf and Country Club. Karsten Carroll of
Seaforth and Steve Dubarry of Exeter each
shot 78 in the juvenile division, and in the
Junior division, Bryan Beattie from Clinton
and Mike Beange from Goderich were tied
at 84. Both Aayoos. were won on the first
hole with Karsten Carroll -being .the,, 1
Juvenile Champion' and Bryan Beattie is the
.1988 Junior Champion. The Bantam division
was easily decided when Paul Deichert
from Stratford shot the lowest round of the
tournament—a 77 to take the Bantam title.

Lawnbowlers active
Seaforth Lawn Bowlers have been active
in out of town tournaments this past week. ;
Sandy Pepper and Eileen Adamson were •
fifth at the Blyth Vodden tournament and Se-
cond at Lucknow mixed pairs. Carol Carter
and Lee Ryan also placed third at Lucknow.
In ladies pairs at Atwood Carol Carter and
Edna Bell were successful in winning first
place. Bowling in Seaforth for the McLean
Trophy, Eileen Adamson and Rika Van
Bakel were first with 3W&29. Carol Carter
and partner were second with 2W&30, and
Olive Papple and Helen Connell third with
2W&25. This was Helen's first tournament
this year and she did very well. Bowling in
Clinton in the Bankers tournament Sandy
Pepper and Eileen Adamson placed fourth '
while Art and Mary Finlayson won the Con-
solation prize.
Seaforth's anniversary tournament will
be this Wednesday and we hope for good
weather. Bowlers will be present from all
over Southern and Western Ontario. We
hope everyone who wishes has donated a
prize and articles for the grocery boxes. The
committee will be meeting at Katie Phillips
Tuesday evening to have all prizes etc.

Dalton.
• This Friday night is Couples Night. It will,
be a 4 -man scramble followed by a light;
meal. Tee -off between 6 p.m. and 6:30 p.m.'
Speaking of Couples Golf, Roger and Ann
Adams won the 19th Annual Couples Tour-
nament at Maitland Country Club on Satur-
day. Doug and Cathy Elliott from Seaforth
were second.
Due to the small attendance on August 15
at ladies night there was only one winner for
least putts - Rita Core.
The ladies visited the Mitchell Golf Club
for a fun night of golf and a delicious meal.
In Ladies Match Play, Heather
Mcllwraith defeated Allyson Scott on the
18th hole to advance to the semi-final
against Mary Doig.
