PEOPLE ON THE GO Cathy McGavin left the first of the week for Europe where she will be on a tour for the next six weeks. Visiting with Mr. and Mrs. Rolly Achilles over the Canada Day holiday were Danny and Karen Achilles and son Donnie of Strat- ford. Jerry and Linda Achilles and Kevin of Bellwood spent Saturday at the same home. Clint and Judy Emintick and family are getting settled in their new home, formerly the Reid house. Annie has moved recently to an apartment in Seaforth. Ruth Krick of Hamilton visited recently with her mother, Margery Ritchie in Brussels and attended the Sunday service at Duff's. United Church. Just a reminder the Ladies Slo-pitch an- nual tournament is to be held this coming weekend. The games start Friday night and continue all day Saturday at the Walton Park. Presbyterial takes ladles oL tour of five diereflt London churches BIG WINNER - Steven Phillips, a Grade 1 student at St. James Separate School in Seaforth, was rewarded for his enthusiastic reading during a reading program spon- sored by World Book Encyclopedia. The program, called Partners in Excellence, en- courages students to read and earn funds for their shcool at the same time. Steven read 40 books in the allotted time frame, and helped his school earn enough money to purchase three sets of encyclopedias, one set of childcraft books and one Atlas. He was accompanied by a cousin from the West. Rev. Dr. Ferguson, Stratford, conducted the regular morning service in Knox Church on June 26. Rev.
