have gone to Ottawa to the Dominion Con-
vention for five days. Comrade Gordon and
Barbara will be home June 20.
The ladies are having their next Sunday

correct a mistake she made. There is nn flin-

Happy Citizens strike 1988-89 committee
The regular meeting of the Seaforth Hap-
py Citizen's was held in the Legion Hall on
June 2. It started off with a potluck dinner at
12 with 48 present.
Following the dinner, Grace Broadfoot
opened the meeting with 0 Canada and the
Lord's Prayer. Happy Birthday was sung to
Grace. Roll call and minutes were read of
the May meeting. An invitation to dinner at
Huronview on June 1§ at 12.45 was accepted
and a reminder made of Sisterhood night on

Chaple. Beat Storey gave a report on the
Moon Walk. Grace spoke on the workshop
night which was found to be most
interesting,
Hazel McNaughton gave the nominating
report for Officers for the coming year. A
call was received from Maplewood inviting
seniors to come over to play cards anytime
in the afternoon.
The nominating committee for 1988-89
consists of Eva McCartney and Doreen
Kelly.
Grace gave a reading on Three Rooms
and a Path and closed the meeting. Cards
were enjoyed.

The Chamber of Commerce introduced
two signs saying "Seaforth, the Friendly
Town" to town council Monday night. Coun-
cil gave permission for the erection of the
signs, which will advertise the town to
travellers using Highway 8.
Seaforth Lions have agreed to pledge
$5,000 to the new Seaforth Community
Hospital Building Fund.
