Legion gives $ 1,000 to Seaforth Minor Hockey

The general meeting for January was held
last Thursday with another average atten-
dance. President Jim Watson was in the
chair.
Motions were made to 'give Vanastra
Recreation Committee $250 and $1,000 to the
Minor Hockey Organization in Seaforth.
After some discussion these motions were
passed. The Public Speaking Contest will be
held Sunday. February 91 W,vf-m. a r
as follows: - Appreciation night April 13, In-
stallation May 28 and Decoration Sunday
June 5.
Service Officer Cleave Coombs reported
the Provincial Service Officer would be at
the Seaforth Branch on February 17 at 6:30
p.m. Anyone wishing an interview phone

The Early -Bird draw was made at this
meeting with the following names being
drawn: For 1989 memberships - Barbara

Local artist Brian Haley, was one of 33 ar-
tists whose work was chosen to be in the 41st
Annual Western Ontario Exhibition at the
London Regional Art Gallery. There were
over 300 entries in this year's show. The
show is a 39 piece exhibit consisting of pain-
tings, drawings, photographs by regional
artists and runs until March 6.
