Mrs. Katie Murray has received word of
the. birth of a little great-granddaughter—
hbr:sbttb—born to her grandson and his wife
Frances and Glenda Feeney in St. Joseph's
Hospital, London. The girl is also a grand-
daughter for Bill and Catherine Feeney, RR
1 Dublin.
With Millie Evans on Sunday were Mrs.
Bea Fadden and Matthew from Toronto.
Joan and Sandy Steinbach and Tom Rum-
mell of Petawawa with her parents Joe and

girls of Stratford, Nancy and Jack Storey of
Clinton were also home with Joe and Olga.
Father Carrigan was back at 'masses on
the weekend at St. Patrick's Church,
Dublin, after a stay in the hospital.
Pat and Mike MacRae were with Ian and
Nora Ann Jackson and Baby Trevor in Lon-
don on Sunday.
Jade and Marg, Jennifer and Ian
MacRae, London, were with Tony and Irma
Visser and family, RR 2 Dublin, on Sunday.
SCOUTS RECEIVE BADGES
Boy Scouts of the 1st Cromarty Scouts
held their regular meeting at the Cromarty
church. Some scouts received their
challenge badges.
Knox Presbyterian Church sets its

The annual congregational meeting for
Knpx Presbyterian Church, Cranbrook was
held January 26 beginning with a potluck
dinner. The meeting was chaired by Rev.
Steven Webb and Mrs. Stuart Stevenson
acted as secretary.
Members had received their printed
reports and all were discussed and adopted
as printed. The General Assembly budget
was set for 1988 d auditors, ushers, manse
committee, o , secretary treasurer
and maintenan appointment made for
another year.
PEOPLE
Mr. and Mrs. Harry Bardoel and girls,
Wartburg, and Mr. and Mrs. Bill Bekker
and girls, London, were recent visitors with
Mr. and Mrs. John Vanass, and family.
Wm. J. Perrie was transferred on
Wednesday from Listowel Hospital to the
Callander Nursing Home, Brussels. On
Scout Brian Waddell received his com-
municator badge, Scout Steven Pullman his
collectors badge, Scout Barry Waddell his
music badge. Barry now has 10 total badges,
which entitles him to a silver chain that is
linked around his left arm and is attached to
the left pocket. Ryan Vandervliet received
his madder badge.
The newest scout Share Dale, is working
on his 13 Woodsman badge.
Due to the past weekend of wet weather,
the camp out scheduled was cancelled and
will be held this Saturday (February 6th)
and on Sunday (February 7th) will be the
Scouts Own church service—weather
permitting.

their euchre on January 29. Winners were:

day, February 5.
Church board installed at Walton

At the morning service on Sunday at
Duff's United Church, Walton members of
the Church Board took their commitment
when they were installed by Rev. Bonnie
Lamble.
The children's time story was on calling
out to God for support and love. The sermon
was on "Whose Authority?" Glenda Carter
was organist and Emmerson Mitchell and
Roy Gingerich received the offering.
The United Church Women's executive
will meet Wednesday at 7:30 p.m. Junior
choir practice is Thursday at 4:15 p.m. Next
Sunday is the Youth Service. Board meeting
at Mary Humphries at 8 p.m. -
PEOPLE ON HOLIDAYS
Doug and Marjory Fraser have returned
home from a very enjoyable holiday in
• Jamaica.
Neil Mitchell and Edward McClure,
Walton and Neil McClure, London spent a
couple of weeks recently on a holiday in
Acapulco.
Ruthie Thames, Kitchener spent the
weekend at the home of her mother.

played as a lady); Mary Moylan, ladies low;
Ferg Kelly, men's high; Gordon Rose,
men's low and Charlene Delaney for the
most lone hands.

and Cecilia Ryan visited with Ferg and
Anne Kelly on Saturday evening and en-
joyed a game o1 euchre with them.

With the absence of Rev. Wright, George
Cowan told the children the familiar stories
of Old Mother Goose and Little Jack Horner,
but in a biblical setting. Afterwards the
children joined in singing "In my Father's
House".
Mr. Cowans sermon was "If Jesus Were
Here", followed by a solo "He Touched Me"
by Mr. Cowan.
A sincere welcome and thank you to
George Cowan for leading the worship. Ken
Van Allen will conduct the services on
February 7 and Sharon Warm will lead the
worship on February 14. Rev. Douglas
Wright win be back in the office on
February 18.

The proposed official plan amendment would change the designation of Port tot 29.
