The Huron Expositor, 1984-11-28, Page 14A94 — THE HURON EXPOSITOR, NOVEMBER 28, 1984 ENTERTAINMENT legion membership fees are due There is only one week left in Nov. before the Seaforth Legion membership committee makes the draw for the Early Bird winners. Members are advised to try to get' their membership dues paid by Saturday. You might get a free one year membership for your effort. Dues do have to be paid eventually. The race fans who availed themselves of the chartered bus to the Orangeville raceway on•Sunday enjoyed a good afternoon at the track. According to Jim Watson, who initiated the trip, said there were a lot of happy faces on the way home. One can only surmise there were some good winners. Jim will try another such outing in Feb. ° Don't forget there is a stag euchre tonight (Wednesday) at 8 p.m. There were 10 tables in play two weeks ago. The Legion has two dart boards set up in the lounge for those who would Tike to play darts. Darts have never been very popular in the branch, probably because there was never a good place to play and nobody in the past ever tried to promote league play. But darts has been successful at other branches and whether it willrove equally successful in Seaforth at this late stage remains to be seen. Comrade Earle Laycox is going to try to do something for darts in the near future. The second turkey bingo will be held on Dec. 4 at 7;30 p.m. and the last bingo on Dec. 11. It is hoped the bingos are as popular this }fear as they have been in the past. Another date to remember is the Childrens Christmas Concert on Dec. 16 at 2 p.m. Any children wishing to provide entertainment please phone Barbara Scott (57-1787). At the going down of the sun and in the morning we will remember them. Gordon Scott P.R.O. e Anne of Green Gables coming t. Huron • Laughter is the catchword at Huron Country Playhouse in 1985.
