A funeral service will be held at the Seaforth Health Care Facility today, (Wednesday) at 2 p.m. Rev. Gordon Simmons will officiate. Interment in Maitlandbank Cemetery. MERLYN CLINTON Merlyn Blyth Clinton of RR 5, Vanastra and formerly of RR 3, Lambeth, died at his residence on Tuesday, Nov. 13. He was 63. Surviving besides his wife, the former Vera Mae Browit, are four daughters, Judy of Jamaica; Marian, Mrs. Sheldon Hudson and Janey, Mrs. Bruce Caaburn, both of London; and Connie Hudson of Mississauga. Also surviving are two brothers, Lawrence of Grand Bend; Dalton of Kitchener; his mother, Mary Alice aylor of Clinton; and eight grandchildren. Funeral service was held ' from the McFarlane and Roberts Funeral Horne, Lambeth on Friday, Nov. 16. Interment in Woodhull Cemetery. DOROTHY MANLEY The former Dorothy Ellis, Mrs. Joseph M. .Manley of Stratford died on Wednesday, Nov. 14. She was 67. Survived by her husband Joseph Manley, she is also survived by her children, Donald Diehl of Calgary; Linda, Mrs. David Russell of Caledon; stepmother of Keith Manley of Stratford; Mrs. Marie Hicknell of RR 5, Seaforth; Mrs. Patricia Corman of Waterloo; Mrs. Ruth Marx of North Delta, B,C. Also surviving are tWo sisters, Florence Clarke of Simcoe; Mabel Agroff of Stratford; one brother, David Ellis of Stratford; 17 grandchildren and three great grandchild- ren. She was predeceased by her first husband, Foster Diehl. Resting at the W.G. .Young Funeral Home, Stratford, Mass was celebrated at Immaculate Conception Church on Friday, Nov. 16. Rev. J. Sharp officiated. Interment in ,Avondale Cemetery, Stratford. - Pallbearers were Fred Gray, Mervin Manley, Keith Manley, T.J. Diehl, Francis Hicknell and Harvey Partridge. ISABELLE BURGESS Isabelle Burgess, the former Isabelle MacLeod, died at the Chatham General Hospital on Tuesday, Nov. 13. A resident of Tilbury, she was predeceased by her husband, Raymond, one son Kenneth 'and one sister Leda Hyatt. She is survived by one son, Richard and two grandchildren. Jessica and Quentin, of Seaforth. Resting at the Masse Funeral Home, Tilbury, funeral service was held from the Darrell S. Moffat Memorial Church on Saturday, Nov. 17, Rev. Walter Logan officiated. Interment in Maple Leaf Ceme• terv, Tilbury. FAMILY JAMES SMELLIE James Russell Smellie, a resident at the Wellington Terrace, Elora, died on Friday, Nov. 16. He was 98. • Husband of the late Maggie M. Shortreed, he is survived by four daughters, Margaret, Mrs. John M. Milligan; Myrtyle, Mrs. John N. Black; Rose, Mrs. Paul Mosure, all of Fergus; and Lillian, Mrs. Robert Baker of Hensall. Also surviving are two grandchild- ren, Robert Black of Winnipeg and William Black of Kitchener and two great grandchild- ren. He was. predeceased by two sisters and one brother. DOUGLAS RILEY Douglas Henry Riley of Centralia and formerly of Londesboro, died at the South Huron Hospital, Exeter on Thursday, Nov, 15. He was 46. Surviving besides his wife, the former Linda Murch, are, two daughters, Wendi Horton of Peterborough; Deborah Horton and one son Benjamin Riley, both at home, Also surviving are his parents,- Ben and Marion Riley of Goderich; seven sisters, ELIZABETH CARNOCHAN A former resident of Tuckersmith Town- ship, Elizabeth Carnochan of Huronview, Clinton, died on Thursday, Nov. 15. Interment in Clinton Cemetery. RUBY REED Isabel] Ruby Reed, the former Ruby Sadler, of Staffa, died at the Seaforth Community Hospital on Wednesday, Nov. 14. She was 90. - A daughter of the late Robert A. Sadler and Rebecca Sillery, she was predeceased by her thusband Oscar W. Reed in 1947. She was a lifelong resident of Staffa. Mrs. Reed was a member of the Hibbert United Church where she was an organist for -a number of years and was a member of the UCW and the Staffa Women's Institute. She is survived by several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by one brother, John A. Sadler, 1981. - Funeral service was held from the Lockhart Funeral Home, Mitchell on Saturday, Nov. 11. Intertnent in Staffa Cemetery. On Friday evening, members of: the Shining Star Chapter 11293, Order of the Eastern Star held a service at the funeral home. ALICE MAIUE AURIN Alice Marie Aubin of Seaforth died at the Seaforth Community Hospital on Wednes- day, Nov. 14, She was 88. The former Marie Denomme, she was predeceased by her husband Alexander Aubin; two brothers, Lorne and Ted; and two sisters, Anne and Adella. Surviving are her children, Orville 'of Breslau: John of Seaforth; Victor of Kitchen- er; Lloyd of Goderich; Andre of Cambridge; Pat of Alberta; Armelda, Mrs. Earl Fulford, of Clinton; Veronica, Mrs. 'Delmar Meidinger of Seaforth; Mrs. Rose Anne McNichol of Seaforth. Also surviving are 41 grandchildren 45 great grandchildren and one great great grandchild. Also survived by three brothers, Tuffield, Richard and Louis and twosisters, Marie and Veronica. " She was predeceased by three daughters, Marie, Una Jeanne, Aldea and one son, Regis. Pallbearers were six grandsons, Rene Montague, Anthony Meidinger, Gerome Aubin of London, Phillip Aubin, Richard Aubin of Kitchener, and Donald Aubin, Cambridge. Flower bearers were Michael McNichol and Jeanmarie Montague. Seaforth WI takes trip to Scotland Mrs. Gordon Elliott was hostess for the Seaforth Women's Institute meeting Nov. 13. Gordon Wright took members on ail interesting trip to. Scotland by film and commentary. An invitation was received from Crediton WI 'to attend their 65th anniversary on Nov. 21. Kippen East WI invited Seaforth to their 50th anniversary on Dec. 5 at 6:30 p.m. in Brucefield Church.' A donation is to be sent to the Huron County Family Services Christmas Fund. The program was in charge of Jessie McGregor and Mrs. Lorne Lawson.
