The sixth meeting of the Walton 441 club
was held as the fitness meeting when
members wowling in Seaforth.
They retin'ned to their leader's home, Pat
Nolan wlJ'@re members had supper that had
been pr ared.
The next meeting will be held Nov. 12.
PERSONALS
Private Michael Beuerman who has been
stationed at Cypress for the past six months
visited on Wednesday with his grandmother,
Isabelle Shortreed prior to his departure
when he returns to the Canadian Armed
Forces Base near Calgary for the next three
months.
Barry and Colette MacLeod and Natasha of
Waterloo visited on Sunday with Olene's
father, Torrance Dundas.
SCHOOL ACTIVITIES
Children and teachers of Walton Public
School were all dressed up for their
Hallowe'en costume parade on Tuesday
afternoon.
Several mothers joined in to watch
students as they formed a .circle outside.
Each 151ass •along with their teacher paraded
around showing oft' the many different
costumes, making it hard to know who they
really were,
They all returned to their classrooms,
when treats were distributed,

hold meeting

The sixth And seventh meetings of the
Bluevale I11 Energetic Exercisers were
recently held at Grey Central School.
Bluevale challenged the Ethel 4-H club to a
game of basketball. Bluevale was victorious,
winning 51-48,
Members played a relay race and animal
vegetable sports. Bluevale won both games.
Lunch was ser-ved with the Bluevale club
bringing sandwiches and Ethel bringing
dessert and beverages.
A great morning was had by all,

The Citizenship meeting of the Belgrave
Women's Institute was held In the hall
recently.
The delegate to the Area Convention will
be Mrs. Garner Nicholson and Mrs. Bob
Gordon. Mrs, Les Shaw will attend a Stress
Control Workshop at Goderichin Nov.
The WI looked after the Oct, birthday party
at Brookhaven Nursing Home at Wingham.
The program convenor, Mrs. Ross Higgins
introduced the speaker, Constable John
Marshall who showed slides and gave an
informative talk on drugs.

showing samples of many drugs,
