Linda Gridzak defeated Cathy Elliott 5 to 4 to win the 1984 championship. The competition, like the Juniors and Men's, lasts the entire summer with the winners of different matches continuing on until they're defeated. This popular event manages to get golfers of varying skills in competition together. It uses handicaps to make it a "horse race", especially for ladies just starting out. The Golf Club congratulates Linda and all the ladies who participated and helped make it a success. On Tuesday, Nov. 20 the Ontario Ladies Golf Association's annual meeting will be held in Toronto. The luncheon meeting is open to any lady golfers. Anyone interested in attending is asked to contact the pro shop by November 2.
