OBITUARIES
ROBERT MENIITEERE
Robert John Menheere of RR 4, Seaforth
died Thursday, Oct. 25 as a result of a traffic
accident. He was 21.
Born at Chatham, he was a son of Hugo and
Hilda (Waterschoot) Menheere off RR 4,
Seaforth.
He is survived by four brothers, Ken of
Toronto, Tom, Allan and Peter at home; two
sisters Trish of Exeter and Sandra, Mrs. Bob
Jansen of Seaforth. Also surviving is his
grandmother Bertha Waterschoot of Wal-
laccburg.
Resting at the Box Chapel of M.L. Watts
Funeral Home, Seaforth, Mass of the
Christian burial was held at St. James Roman
Catholic Church, Seaforth on Monday, Oct.
29. Interment in St. James Roman Catholic
Cemetery.
Pallbearers were Brian Van Aaken, Lee
Dorssers, Steve Menheere, Dave Menheere,
Doug Relouw, Mark Relouw. Flowerbearers
were Joe Dorssers, Paul Menheere, Mike
McDonald, Bob Malone and Cordon De Jong.
DANIEL SLOAN
Daniel Thomas Sloan of St. Columban died
Thursday, Oct. 25 as a result off a traffic
accident. He was 18.
Born at Cornwall, he was a son of Thomas
F. and Mary Eileen (Smith) Sloan of St.
Columban.
He is survived by three brothers, James of
Toronto, Doug and Terry at home; two sisters
Sandra of North Bay and Joyce off Guelph.
Resting at the Box Chapel off M.L. Watts
Funeral Home, Seaforth, Mass of the
Christial burial was held at the St. Columban
Roman Catholic Church on Monday, Oct. 29.
Interment in St. Columban Roman Catholic
Cemetery.
Pallbearers were Allan Ducharme, Dean
Jones, Tom Turner, Kevin Melady, Mike
Bruxer and Jim Groothuis.
F ELMA COOK
Velma Cook, 70, of Mitchell and formerly
off Blyth, died Tuesday, Oct. 23 at the
Stratford General Hospital.

CHAPPEI,: Ed and Cathy (nee Cottle) are

Jason Edward, on Oct. 18, 1984 weighing 9
lbs. 10 oz. Proud grandparents are Reg and
Nadine Chappel, Staffs, and Ross and Leona
Cottle of Woodham.
NICHOLSON: Glen and Margaret (nee
Merner) of Dashwood are proud to announce
the safe arrival of their daughter, Robin
Nichole, born Oct. 23, 1984 at St. Joseph's
Hospital, London weighing 6lbs. 8 ozs. Proud
grandparents are Al and Helen Nicholson and
a great granddaughter of Catherine Nichol-
son.
McCLURE: Murraynd Chris McClure (nee
Delaney) of Brucefield, announce the birth of
their daughter, Peggy Kathleen, on Oct. 26,
1984 at St. Josephs Hospital, London. A
sister for Tim and a granddaughter for Jim
and Dorothy Delaney of Dublin.
ELDER: Jesse is pleased to announce the
birth of his little sister, Meagan Tressa
Elizabeth, born on Oct. 21, 1984 in St.
Joseph's Hospital, London, weighing 5 lbs. 2
ozs. Proud parents are Doug and Kim Elder.
SWITZER: Al and Bonnie Switzer (nee
Kerslake) of High River, Alberta, announce
the arrival of their son. Craig William on Oct.
16. A brother for Jamie.

Margaret Sills and her sister Anne, Mrs.
John Mason, of Flagstaff Arizona, have left
for Greece on a combination tour of business
and pleasure. Anne will be attending an
International Nurses Convention in Athens.
Stacy Gorchynski of Ottawa visited with
William and James Kelley last week.
Roger Clement of Acapulco, Mexico visited
with James Kelley last weekend.

A daughter of the late Robert Craig and the
former Ada McCutcheon, she was prede-
ceased by husband Orval Cook, who died in
1966, and one sister, Mary.
Surviving are three sons, Rodney, of
Ottawa, Murray of Clinton, and Frank, of
Mitchell; four daughters, Leona Thornton, of
London; Eileen Heard, of St. Marys; Marjorie
Dantzer, of Mississauga, and Shirley Mc-
Naught of Sarnia.
Also surviving are four brothers, Harvey
Crain of Walton; Gordon, of Guelph;
William, of Blyth and Edwin, of Ottawa; four
sisters, Ada Craig, of Stoney Creek; Roberta
Simpson, of Brussels; Annie Wight, of
Listowel and Olive Faitz, of Stoney Creek.
Also surviving are 25 grandchildren and six
great-grandchildren.
Friends were received at the Heath -Leslie
Funeral Home in Mitchell where a service
was held Friday. Rev. Donald Pletsch
officiated. Interment was at Woodland
Cemetery.
As expressions of sympathy donations may
be made to the charity of one's choice.
HUGH ZAPFE
Hugh F. Zapfe of London died at Victoria
Hospital, London on Saturday, Oct. 27. He
was 51.
Survived by his wife the former Joan
Martyn, he is also survived byy three sons,
Jeff of Winnipeg; Doug of hi
and
Leslie at home.
Also surviving are two sisters, Blanche,
Mrs. Ken Parke of Varna; Marg, Mrs. Robert
Allan of Clinton; and one brother, Glen Zapfe
of Woodstock.
Funeral service was held from the
Needham Funeral Chapel, London, on
Tuesday, Oct. 30. Rev. Robert Riply of Byron
United Church officiated. Interment in
Baird's Cemetery, Brucefleld.
YYJK PING WONG
Yuk Ping Wong of London died at the
Parkwood Hospital on Friday, Oct. 26. She
was 78.
She is survived by her children, Chih Lun
Wong and his wife Jing Yu of London; Hung
Fung, Mrs. Sam Yet Lee of Winnipeg; Shick
Kan Wong and his wife Yuet Ching of
London. Dear sister of Yung Tai Chan of
Hong Kong and Yuk Kuai Lee of China.
She is also survived by 11 grandchildren
and five great grandchildren. Her oldest
grandson is Frank Gee Wong and his wife
Billie of Seaforth.
Funeral service will be held from the Logan
Chapel Furtney Funeral Homes, London on
Saturday,. Nov. 3 at 10 a.m. Interment in
Woodland Cemetery.
