Kippen East WI met at the home of Mrs.
Campbell Eyre for their "Canadian Indus-
tries meeting on Oct, 17.
• Mrs, Campbell Eyre chaired the program
and introduced her neighbour Mrs, H.
Elliott who demonstrated the art of bread
making, 1984 style,
She began by grinding the wheat into flour
and continued through the process which
takes 15 minutes from the time you start
until the bread goes into the oven. Bread
rises in the oven at 200° and then continues
cooking at 350°.
Six loaves were made in this hatch and the
ladies were delighted with the sample when
it was cooked.
Mrs. Jack Sinclair gave a fitting motto on
"Bread is the symbol of home, hope and
hospitality".

Each lady modelled a hat she had made of
fruits and vegetables. Mrs. Wisch's hat had
a pumpkin for a frame and was studded with
fruits and vegetables of all kinds.

and lunch was served by Mary Whitehouse,
Dorothy Bell and the hostesses.
