SPORTS THE HURON EXPOSITOR, OCTOBER 10, 19M — A9 Goff season approaching itsfinal days BY CAEOLANNE DWG Saturday turned out to be a gorgeous day for golfing and about 30 local golfers enjoyed our first Turkey Shoot. This mixed 2 -ball format turned out to be very successful, and the potluck supper afterwards was delicious. The winners of the event with a fine 9 hole total of 40 were Ken Doig Sr. and Barb Watson. Rita Core and John Watt were the swingingest couple and other winners of turkeys or chickens were Doug Elliott, Betty Watson, Barbara Scott, Rod Doig, Brian Cook, and Dave Watson. Numbers were drawn at random to determine the winners of the birds. After the supper Gord Scott, and Sean Cook were presented with prizes" for reducing their handicaps the most at the club.
