OBITUARIES.
EDNA ECKMFER
Edna M. Eckmier, the former Edna
Hamilton died in the Listowel Memorial
Hospital on Saturday, Sept. 29. She was 81.
Predeceased by her husband, Cecil Eck-
mier of Ethel, she is survived by one
daughter, Isabel, Mrs. Tom Sawchyn, of
Orangeville; three sons, Bill of Ethel, Ronald
of Kitchener and Ross of London; seven
grandchildren; one brother, Allan Hamilton
of Strathroy.
She was predeceased by her parents
William and Elizabeth Hamilton, one daugh-
ter Marie Buchanan. one Grandson Calvin

Funeral service was held at the Peebles
Funeral Home, Atwood on Monday, Oct. 1.

terian Church officiated. •

MARY RACHAEL WALKER
Mary Rachael Walker, 91, formerly off
Seaforth, died Wednesday, Sept. 26 at the
Chelsea Park Nursing Home.
Predeceased by parents William John and
Jane Walker, sister Grace Cameron and
brothers Samuel and Jack Walker, Miss
Walker is survived by nephews John and Paul
Walker of Hamilton and Michael Walker of
Peterborough.
A service was held at Box Funeral Home on
Friday with Rev. William Barber officiating.
Interment was in Brussels Cemetery.

Marlene Pennington, daughter of Mrs.
Jack Pennington, Brussels and Gary Rich-
mond, son of Mr. and Mrs. Bruce Richmond,
Blyth were married August 18 at St. John's
.Anglican Church, Brussels. Rev. Robin
Lyons officiated. Karen Stewart, sister of the
groom, was matron of honor. Bridesmaids
were Heather Wilson and Janice Shine,
friends of the bride. The bride's niece Sharie
Jacklin was flower girl. Best man was Rick
Smith, friend of the groom. Ushers were Ken
Stewart, brother-in-law of the groom and
Darren Richmond, brother of the groom.
Organist was SharonoStephenson, friend of
the bride. Soloist was Bonnie Jacklin, sister
of the bride. A reception followed in the B.M.
& G. Community Centre. Mr. and Mrs.

Susan Carson and Michael O'Reilly were
united in marriage in Ottawa on July 7. The
bride is the daughter of Marg and Jim Carson
of Ottawa and the groom is the son of Pat and
Lou O'Reilly of Seaforth. The matron of honor
was Lucie Laurin of Ottawa, friend of the
bride. Bridesmaids were Brenda Carson,
Ottawa, sister-in-law of the bride; Kathy
O'Reilly, Seaforth, sister-in-law off the
groom; and Claudia Panorotto, Ottawa,
friend of the bride. Flower girl was Christina
Carson, Ottawa, niece off the bride. Best man
was ,Joe Verberne, Seaforth, friend off the
groom. Ushers were Greg O'Reilly and Allan
O'Reilly, both off Seaforth, brothers of the
groom and Dale Carson, Ottawa, brother of
the bride. Following a honeymoon in the
Eastern Provinces the couple are residing in
Ottawa.
BRODHAGEN — McKINNON
Roger Irvin Brodhagen and Karen Lorraine
McKinnon were married August 25 at the
Hibbert United Church in Staffa. Rev. Rae
Anderson officiated. The bride is the
daughter of Mir. and Mrs. Lorne McKinnon of
RR#2 Dublin and the groom is the son of Mr.
and Mrs. Irvin Brodhagen of Mitchell.
Matron of honor was Rita Grevers, of
Hickson, a friend of the bride and brides-
maids were Debbie Brodhagen and Gloria
McKinnon, Mike Thebeau, of Mitchell, a
friend of the groom, was the best man and
guests were ushered by a friend of the groom,
of Mitchell and Allen Kistner. Following a
reception at the Brodhagen Community
Centre, the couple took a wedding trip to
Manitoulin Island. They now reside in
