President Leona McDonald chaired the meeting. Marjorie Humphries was pianist. Sheila Fink from Goderich was guest speaker. She spoke on adult illiteracy and Some problems people cope with in Huron County. Margaret Shortreed read minutes and several items of correspondence. Ruth Axtmann will take the smocking course to bring back to the.group. A new caretaker is needed for the hall. The County Rally will be held Oct. 1 at Wingham United Church with registration at 9:30 a.m. Lunch to be provided for $3.50. Guelph Area Convention to be held at Brusss Arena Oct. 18-19 4-H - The second meeting of the Walton `1 4-H club was held Sept. 17 at the home of Pat and Pam Nolan. Members discussed the myths of height and weight charts and percentages of body fat. The girls split up into twos and figured out their per cent of body fat.
