The little hamlet of Belgrave played host to
Students, past and present. Wednesday. at
the 65th annual Belgrave, Blyth. Brussels
School Fair,
The fair holds the distinction of being the
only school -centred fair. in Ontario. The. day
events started with a parade of school
children' who followed the Brussels Legion
Pipft Band to the fairgrounds where various
dignitaries spoke. '

Murray Elston, MPP. William EIstur. Reeve
of Morris, Neil Vincent. Reeve of East
Wawanosht Patrick Cull, grade eight student
of East Wawanosh Public School now a
student at the F.E. Madill Secondary School
opened the fair.
About 200 balloons carried !+ the East
Wawanosh Public School children. tilled.with
'helium and a note in each, were released at
the park prior to the official opening.
Over 3,000 exhibits were displa+ed at the
fair.

Community Centre opened its doors last
evening (Tuesd'ay) for the viewing of exhibits
and displays, and a Variely,i Concert.

hour parade and then enjoy all the activities
when the B.M. & G. Community Centre
opens its doors at 1 p.m. •
The Rooster Crowing Contest (which
should provoke some hilarious moments) is at
2 p.m.

were tears of frustration and disappointment
Team Canada earned and won their victor,
playing as a team with discipline, intense
desire and heart. The finals between Canada
and Sweden have not started al this time of
writing but if Canada plays with the same
ggutsy determination• they will win the
Canada 'Cup ,

Coutts and Doug Fraser,
Marie McGavin read the .first scripture.

contributed a solo Svith guitar accompani-
ment: Helen Craig gave courtesy :remarks.
