SEAFORTH AND AREA seniors got together
fora night of card playing Monday night. The
event was organized by the Seaforth Jr.
Farmers and attracted 84 euchre players.
Prizes were presented, lunch was served and
the whole night was free. Rides are offered to
seniors when arranged, and more seniors are
welcome at the next card party, later this

Brucefield UCW resumed their fall meet-
ings on Tuesday afternoon with Evelyn
Falconer and Joyce Wilson from Unit 3
leading the worship.
Donna McBeath played the piano for the
hymns. A film was shown on the family and
how to get alone with other members of the
family.
Barbara Moffat presided for the business
and the secretary Mrs. Cliff Henderson read
the minutes. Vacation school report was
given and the bake sale held at Homestead
Camp showed 8200 was raised.
Monday, Oct. 1 at 6:30 p.m, the regional
rally will be held. On Oct. 9 at 1 p.m. a dessert

from Clinton Public Hospital having suffered
a broken wrist.

Alice Ham, who has been visiting with
Wesley and Frances Ham. Huntsville, has
returned home accompanied by her son.

Blyth Threshers Reunion on the weekend. On
Sunday the family celebrated their father's

Tickets on sale Sept.
This weekend is the last chance for music
fans to get the best seats and best values on
fall and spring entertainment events.
On Sept. 17, tickets to all events,
including Sylvia Tyson and La Boheme, will
be sold to single ticket buyers. Currently,
tickets are only available to subscribers who
also get a 20 to 30 per cent discount off the
sie ticket price.
Subscriptions will still be available at the
reduced price after Sept. 17, but subscribers
will no longer have seating preference, The
Popular Music Series (including Sylvia
Tyson) costs $24, while the Classical Music
Series, including La Boheme, is $22. Four
Children's shows, including Kipling's "Just
So Stories", are available for a series price

The season begins next week with the
Sylvia Tyson concert on Sept. 21 at 8 p.m.
Single tickets are $12 each. Alligator Pie
follows closely behind with a performance on.
Sept. 28 at 7:30 p.m. Tickets are $4.50 each.
Alligator Pie •is a special event not included
on the children's series, but it is available to
any children's series subscribers at $1.00 off
the regular price which is $3.50 a ticket.

Hall, and tickets and information are

at 11:30 aan. The pastor's sermon topic was
