RECIPE OF THE WEEK
PEANUT BUTTER CARROT LOAF
1 cup (250 mL) firmly packed brown sugar
'A cup (125 mL) creamy peanut butter
'h cup (125 mL) corn oil
2 eggs
2 cups (500 mL) fineqly shredded carrots
1% cups (425 mL) finsifted flour
1 'tsp (5 mL) baking powder
i tsp (5 mL) baking soda
'h tsp (2 mL) salt
I tsp (5 mL) ground cinnamon
1 tsp (5 mL) ground nutmeg '
' cup (125 mL) milk
1 tsp (5 mt) vanilla
Grease 9xSx3 inch (2 L) loaf pan. in a large
bowl mix together brown sugar, peanut
butter, corn oil, and eggs until creamy. Add
shredded carrot. In a small bowl stir together
flour, baking powder, baking soda, salt,
cinnamon and nutmeg. Stirtogether milk and
vanilla. Add flour mixture to peanut butter
mixture alternately with milk in three
additions beginning and ending with flour.
Turn into prepared pan. Bake at 350°F
(180°C) oven 1 hour or until inserted knife
comes out clean. Cool 10 minutes. Remove
from pan. Makes I loaf.

is tonight (Sept. 12) from 7 to 9 p.m. at the
Optimist Hall.
The annual TERRY FOX RUN will be held
Sunday, September 23 from 9 a.m. to 12 noon
starting at the Van Egmond House. Pledge
sheets are available at Seaforth schools, the
Town Hall and the Recreation Office.
A joint REGISTRATION/INFORMATION
NIGHTS will be held Wednesday, September
26 and Thursday, September 27 from 7 to 9
p.m. at the Seaforth and District Community
Centres. The Arena Booster Club, Curling
Club, Boy Scouts and the Optimist Club will
have information tables set up for these
nights. Registration for the following pro-
grams will be taking place these nights:
-Minor Hockey -registration fee is $30 for
charged for registrations after Oct. 1. Travel
team fee is $35. '
-Hockey School fee is $50, which includes a
hockey sweater for. each boy who registers.
The Hockey School is for 10 x 1 hour sessions,
Oct. 9-12 and Oct. 15-20.
-Figure Skating registration fees are 540
Beginners, 560 Can Skate (Juniors) and 570
Can Figure Skate (Int. & Srs.)
-Power Skating fee is 525 for 10 x 1 hour

-Furniture Refinishing is $25 per adult for
ten weeks starting Monday, October 15.
-Mixed Adult Volleyball is $30 per adult for

10.
-Sewing/Crocheting is $25 per adult for ten

-Two Ceramics courses will be held, one

Saturday, October 13 for Minor Baseball.

In the second game in a 2 -out -3' series the
Queens met Ken Smith Pools and defeated
them 15-6. Each team has won one game.
