She was 87. Predeceased by one daughter, Helen Clark, Mrs, Smalldon is survived by husband Robert Harold Smalldon, two daughters, Gladys Henderson, of Welland, and Betty, Mrs. Ken Cooper of Ottawa; three sons, Ferg of Welland, and Jack and Robert of Fort Erie. Also surviving are several grandchildren and great-grand- children;; ' Mrs. Smalldon rested at the Brussels Chapel of the M.L. Watts Funeral Home. A private family funeral was held on Sept. 8. Rev. Charles Carpentier officiated. Inter- ment in Brussels Cemetery. RUSSELL BUTTON Russell Folton Button, of Lucknow, died Tuesday, Sept. 4 at Wingham and District Hospital. He was 65. ' Surviving are his wife, the former Freda De Groat, three daughters Lynda, Mrs. Jack Bilderback, of Everett, Washington; Marg- aret (Peggy), Mrs. Jerry Klettki, of Ritzville, Washington; Donna, Mrs, Brian Sanderson, of - Brussels; one son Steven of RR 3, Lucknow. Also surviving are one sister"' Margaret, Mrs. 'Alec MabNay, of Luckndw, one brother Hargld of Dundas, and eight grandchildren. He was predeceased by his parents R.J. (Robert) and Roberta Howe Button; three brothers, John (Jack), Ernest, and William (Bill), Mt. Button rested at the MacKenzie and McCreath Funeral Home, Lucknow when a private funeral service was held on Friday, Sept, 7. Rev. Warren MacDougall officiated. Interment in Greenhill Cemetery, Lucknow. Lucknow Legion Branch 309 held a memorial service at the funeral home Thursday night. John Alexander Peters, of Hensall, died Saturday, Sept. 8 as a result of an automobile accident at Rainey River. He was 20. Surviving are his parents, Norman Leroy and Udora (Law) Peters, brothers, Norman of Hensall, Wayne of Rainey River and sister Donna Christine, Mrs. Steven Hunter, of Exeter. Also surviving are nephew Donald, nieces Melissa and Heather and several 'aunts and uncles. Funeral service will be held at the Hensall Chapel of Michael ' P. GAIL DIANE SANGSTER Gail Diane Sangster, of Hensall, died Sunday, Sept. 9 as a result of an automobile accident. She was 38. Predeceased by her father, David W. Sangster, in 1979 and by a brother David in 1961, Miss Sangster is survived by her mother, Janeth (Simpson) Sangster of Hensall, fiance John W. Pryde of Exeter, sisters Pamela Sangster of Timmins and Sheila, Mrs. Terry Davenport, of Thornhill, Robert and Elizabeth, both at home. Also surviving are a niece, Stacey Lee Davenport and several, aunts and uncles.
