Some 35 residents travelled to Goderich for a trip around the harbor and other points of interest in Goderich thence to Benmiller and lastly to the Holmesville Zoo. Mr. Jervis was pleased to chat with some of the residents. Driver for ,the afternoon was Edison McLean. A picnic was held Friday on the patio and the weather was ideal. Over 40 residents enjoyed the barbecue lunch. ' Church service was conducted by Rev. Cheryl Stadelbauer-Sampa on Thursday morning. Mina Scott was pianist. Margeurite Shill, Gertrude Hail and Wilma Brill enjoyed an outing to Blyth on Friday afternoon. The little pine trees residents planted a few weeks ago as a bicentennial project are now showing signs of growth. Residents involved in the planting were Charles Ross, Ria Voogel, Mack Tiffin and Wayne Hedges. PERSONALS Visiting with Mr. and Mrs. Robert McClure recently were Ruth Lutz of Edmonton, Doris Brisbin off Vernon B.C., Mary Cox of Oshawa and Agnes Broadfoot of Stratford. -Th Walter and Lillian Gee of London visited William Miners recently. She was offered an Entrance Scholarship from Brescia Co ' lege and will be attending the Western affiliate in September and is enrolled in the Honors Arts Program. She also plans to attend Teachers College and hopes to leech French.
