PATRICIA LYNN HUFF
(Patricia) Lynn Huff, 15, of RR2 Staffa died
Sunday, November 17, 1985 as a result of an
accident.
Miss Huff is the daughter of Hugh Huff
and the former Anne Troutbeck.
She is survived by her grandmothers Pat
Troutbeck of Seaforth and Velma Huff of
Exeter.
Friends .may call at the Whitney-Ribey
Funeral Home, 87. Goderich Street West,
Seaforth after 2 p.m. today until 2 p.m.
Thursday when funeral services will be held
at St. Thomas Anglican Church, Seaforth.
Interment Maitlandbank Cemetery with the
Reverend Gordon Simmons officiating.
MABEL BLOVE
Mabel Bloye, 91, died early in November in
Detroit.
Mrs. Bloye was the daughter of the late
Henry and Lucy Bone of the third concession.
of McKillop Township. She was the sister of
the late Gertie Warwick and Russell and
George Bone. She was the widow of the late
William McMichael and Fred Bloye.
Surviving are children Audrey (Mrs. Rex)
Richardson, Margaret (Mrs. W alter) Cross-
man and Helen (Mrs. Joe) Ross, all of
Detroit.
Also surviving is a niece, Dorothy Mc-
Cauley
o-Cauley of Brussels.
MARY SNELL
Mary Miller Snell (nee Smith), of Brussels,
died Monday, November 11, at the W ingham
and District Hospital. She was 88 -years -old.
Mrs. Snell was predeceased by her first
husband John M. Miller (1945) and her
second husband John A. Snell (1973). She
was also predeceased by one brother, the late
Tom Smith and her parents, the late Thomas
and Anne Smith (nee Pollock).
She is survived by two daughters Margaret
(Mrs. John Cruickshank), of Wingham and
Isobel (Mrs. Freeman Dickie), of London;
four grandchildren and two great-grandchild-
ren.
A private funeral service was held from
M.L. Watts Funeral Homes, Brussels on
November 14, with Reverend Charles Car-
pentier presiding. Burial in Wroxeter Ceme-
tery.
PETRUS ANTONiUS JORISSEN
Petrus (Peter) Antonius Jorissen, of
Gorrie, died Monday, November 11, at the
Wingham and District Hospital. He was
80 -years -old.
Mr. Jorissen is predeceased by his wife,
the former Anna Marie Van Ham, who died
January 1, 1983; three daughters Audrey,
JoAnne and Elizabeth and one grandson.
He is survived by three daughters: Nellie
(Mrs. Simon Marynissen), of Sharon; Jean-
ette D. Winter, of Acton and Marie (Mrs.
Archie Miller), of Georgetown and one son
Andy, of Laurel. Also surviving are three
brothers in Holland and nine grandchildren.
After resting at the Gorrie Chapel of M ,
Watts Funeral Homes, a funeral service was
held at St. Ambrose Roman Catholic Church,
Brussels. with Father Stan Soltysik presid-
ing. Burial in Forest Lawn Cemetery,
Orangeville.
JANET MARETTA HARDiNG
Janet Maretta Harding (nee Doubledee),
of Harriston. died November 9 at the
Palmerston Hospital.
She was predeceased by her husband
Norman Harding, who died in 1977, and by
her parents, the late George Doubledee and
Sarah Halliday.
Mrs. Harding is survived by four daugh-
ters, Mrs. Jean Wilson, of Fordwich;
Margaret (Mrs. Bob Wood), of Clifford; Elsie
(Mrs. Oliver Karges), of Listowel and Reita
(Mrs. John Markovich), of Edmonton,
Alberta; one son Eimer Harding, of Ford-
wich, and one sister (Mrs. John Nairee), of
Toronto. Also surviving are 19 grandchildren
and 12 great-grandchildren.
A funeral service was held from the Gorrie
Chapel, M.L. Watts Funeral Home on
November 11, with Reverend Cy Maizec
presiding. Burial in Fordwich Cemetery.
JOHN CLARK THYNNE
John (Jack) Clark Thynne, of Brussels died
November 13 at the Callender Nursing
Home. He was 88 -years -old.
Mr. Thynne is survived by his wife Annie
(nee Little); two daughters, Isabel (Mrs. Glen
Smith), Brussels and Barbara (Mrs. George
McCutcheon1; one son Clark, of Wingham,
nine grandchildren and 20 great-grandchild-
ren.
He was predeceased by one daughter Mrs.
Della Nichol.
After resting at the Brussels Chapel, M.L.
Watts Funeral Homes a funeral service was
held on November 16 with Reverend Robin
Lyons presiding. Burial in Brussels Ceme-
tery. Donations to the Canadian Cancer
Society would be appreciated.
Pallbearers were: Hugh Nichol, Ian Harris,
David Brester, Richard Clark, Jim Yuen and
Heath Thynne. Flower bearers were Paul
Nichol. Warren Thynne and Glen and Gary
Smith.
FAMILY
Remembrance service held
Seaforth Health Care Facility residents
observed one minute of silence at 11 a.m. on
Remembrance Day in recognition of fallen
war hers. Residents then pinned poppies
on a cross.
The Seaforth Legion Ladies Auxiliary
visited to pin Diamond Jubilee medals on
Elizabeth Brown and Jackie Radio for their
service.
Volunteer pupils came to help residents
with wheelchair bowling and bean bag toss on
Tuesday. Winners were Dave Netzke and
Wilma Brill.
Wednesday afternoon Rev. Barber held a
worship service. Henrietta Brown accompan-
ied on the piano for the favorite hymns.
On Thursday afternoon euchre was played
with the volunteers. Residents from Kilbar-
chan were guests. W inners were ladies high,
Verna McClure, men's high, Pat Ryan,
consolation, Edith Salo and Ed Bilsma of
Kilbarchan, lone hand, Elmer Bakscy.
Darlene Coughtrey gave courtesy remarks
and Patrick Ryan thanked everyone for
coming. The next euchre is November 28 at 2
p.m.
Friday's bingo winners were: Alvie Sykes,
Harold Walsh, Carole Geddes, Sid Pearson,
Eva Netzke and Mary Ryan, .
Mary Neville of Cambridge was guest for
the day. She was a former resident of the
Manor.

Dave and Eva went out to Rose Altmans for
the day.
Leo O'Sullivan was out with his brother Jim
O'Sullivan in St. Columban.
Mr. and Mrs. Cameron of Sarnia were in to
see daughter Carol Geddes.
Isabel Scott was in to visit her husband Bill.
Irene Omand was visited by her daughter
and grandchildren.
Marjory Maloney was in to see her
husband Harold.
Dianne Miller and baby Michele, of St.
Joseph were in to visit residents.
Cassie Nicholson wa. not with ROT, lack and
granddaughter Gail to Bayfield for lunch.
Any Gethke and son W amen were ui to
visit her father Erie Dow.
Mary Lamont visited with cousin Kelly
Lamont.
Len Bloomfield and David Netzke attended
the service at the Legion last Monday.
Mrs. Elmer Townsend brought in a cake for
Robert McClure's 90th birthday last Monday.
Cassie Nicholson spent Tuesday afternoon
with her son Ross and wife.
Mr. and Mrs. Harold Nicholson visited his
mother Cassie.
Seaforth Horticultural Society
gathers for potluck supper
The Seaforth Horticultural Society annual
meeting began with a potluck supper. last
Wednesday.,
All members present received paper white
narcissus bulbs from the society and daffodil
bulbs, courtesy of Cyril Kirk.
The reports of committees were read and
the nominating committee of Grace Broad -
foot and Nancy Martin read the new slate of
Officers for 1986. They are: president, Steve
Hildebrand; secretary, Nancy Kale; trea-
surer, Luanne Phair• first vire president
Dianne Phair, and second vice president,
Lisa Beuttenmiller; program committee,
Marge Phillips, Florence Elford and Beatrice.
Stoll and the social committee is headed by
Isabel Young.

were shown and enjoyed by all,
Door prizes ..were drawn.
There will be no. meeting in December or
January. The next meeting will be at the
school on February 12.
