HOT AT HOME — The Seaforth Centenalres had a successful weekend of hockey winning
two games. They were all over their opponents on both Friday night and Sunday afternoon.
They defeated Tavistock 9-3 and Exeter 14-3.
Jim Campbell leads in scoring
Jim Campbell had a banner weekend for
the Centenaires tallying eight goals in the
teams two home games. The eight goals also
moved 'him to the top of the Centenaire
scoring after 12 games.
Not only did Jim Campbell have a banner
weekend but the entire Seafoth team did as
well, recording two wins, a 9-3 win over the
Tavistock Braves Friday night, and a 14-3 win
over the Exeter Hawks Sunday afternoon.
SEAFORTH - TAViSTOCK
Jerry Wright initiated the scoring for
Seaforth in Friday night's action scoring
approximately two minutes into the game. No
more goals were seen until late in the first

The Seaforth and District Junior Belles
Ringettes team are off to a good start with two
wins under their belts.
On Sunday the girls defeated Exeter 6-4.
Goal scorers for this game were Sara Teall
with two, Tammy Nash with two and Tracey
Fortune and Usa Henderson each with one.
Seaforth was forced to work haid in this
game because Exeter had some good skaters,
Tawnya Taylor was in net for Seaforth and
played a super game.

In the third period Tavistock responded
with two goals, but were kept limited to that.
Campbell, Melady and Mark Johnston all
responded again for Seaforth.

In their first home game, November 3, the
Belles beat Forest 9-1. Goal scorers for that
game were Susan Rowcliffe with two, Tammy
Nash with three, Tracey Sills with one.
Heather McKereher with two and Usa
Henderson with one.
Shelly O'Brien was In net for Seaforth. She
did well stopping many shots.

Senior team wins opener
The Seaforth and District Ringette Asso-
ciation's Senior Girls team (Belles) travelled
to Forest on November 5 for their season
opener. The girls returned victorious after
handing Forest a 10-2 defeat. The girls all
played very well for their first game of the
season.

Seaforth with four goals and one assist.
Tammy Taylor had two goals and one assist,
with Use O'Dwyer doing the same. Other
goals were scored by Jane Rowrliffe and Lisa
Calver. Assisting on goals were Jennifer
Watt, Connie McClure, and Marg Cronyn.
The Belle's home opener is this Sunday at
5:50 p.m. Come on out.
Atoms win 7-3
The Seaforth Atom hockey team got off to a
good start on November 4 in Palmerston
beating them 7-3. '
Steven Papple and Jason Beuttenmiller got
two goals apiece while Brian Melady, Danny
Dalton and Paul Dolmage got singles.
Goaltending duties were shared by John
Moylan and Stephen Hicknell. The whole
team , played Ttrong, consistent hockey
throughout the game.
On Saturday, November 9, the Atoms
travelled to Mitchell where they again had an
all around solid effort from everyone,
winning 2-1.
The scoreboard didn't light up until the last
10 minutes when Mitchell went ahead 1-0.
Shortly after, Paul Dolmage tied the game
with an unassisted goal. Kenny Hildebrand
got the winner assisted by Pat Maloney.
This year the Atoms are as follows: John
Moylan, Stephen Hicknell, Pat Maloney,
Mike Coyne, Paul Dolmage, Danny Dalton,
Matt McNichol, Jonathon Hugill, Kenny
Hildebrand, Steve Papple, Jason Beuttenmil-
ler, Thomas Wheatley, Brian Melady and
Rob Vanden Henget.
Midgets down Zurich
The Seaforth Midgets downed Zurich 12-5
last Tuesday giving Seaforth their third win of
the hockey season.
Scoring for Seaforth and giving the team a
4-0 lead in the first period were Brian Dupuis,
Joey Smith, Mike Betties and Trevor•Price.
Just into the second period Ron Pryce
scored. At the 6:55 mark of the period Don
Brown scored. Zurich scored shortly after
only to have Seaforth's Kevin Cooper answer
back. Zurich then scored two quick 'goals
ending the second period with a score of
Seaforth 7 Zurich 3.
Just into the third period Joey Smith scored
his second goal of the game. Zurich answered
back scoring two quick goals. Trevor Price
and Mike Betties went on to score two goals
each giving them both a hat trick in the game.
Pee Wees win two
The Seaforth Pee W ees played two games
this past week and won both with no trouble.
In a game against Drayton, Seaforth led 3-0
after the first period, 4-1 after the second and
8-2 after the third.
Scoring for Seaforth were Jason Schoon-
derwoerd and Ted Sills each with two goals.
Ray Murray, Paul McUwain, Jason McNichol
and Brian Cook each got one goal.
Drawing assists were Brent van den Akker,
Paul Mel -twain and Jason Horan each with
two, and Ted Sills and Brian Cook getting one
apiece.
In a game against Mitchell the Pee Wees
won 10-5.
At the end of the second period Seaforth
was leading 6.2.
In the third Seaforth started the scoring off
again only to have Mitchell add three quick
goals in a row to tighten up the score.
The boys got down to serious playing again
and added three more goals to end the game
10.5.
Scoring for Seaforth were Ted Sills, Jason
Papple, Paul Mcllwaln and Ray Murray each
with two, and Jason McNichol and Brent van
den Akker getting one apiece.
Drawing assists were Karsten Carroll with
three, Brad Schroeder, Jason Papple, Ted
Sills and Brent Van den Akker with two each;
and Paul McUwain, Jeff Gemmell, Jason
Schoonderwoerd and Brian Cook with one.
The next home game is against Drayton on
